Sylvan Schneider is extremely professional, knowledgeable and experienced and has always provided us with excellent legal advice. We were very happy to have been referred to him. First off, my apologies to Sylvan and co. for how long it's taken me to write this review. Sylvan and his team assisted myself, my partner, and my roommate with forming a contract with an extremely ethically dubious property management company that enabled us to leave a residence that was hazardous to our health and left me near crippled. Sylvan was extremely courteous, collected, and realistic about not just his ability to win the case, but in whether or not it would be worth it for us.Essentially, after breaking down the intricacies of Montreal law on the subject to me in a way even my heavily-addled brain could understand, Sylvan offered us a near-guarantee he could win our case and get us damages, (unsurprising given the circumstances) but broke down our potential payout in a concise manner that made it clear it would not be worth the stress or money we would be continuing to spend while engaged in a legal battle.Instead, Sylvan drafted a contract for us to present to the property manager that would ensure they would get us & our complaints out of their hair, while also protecting us from having to pay additional fees or be dragged into any matters with the Regie by the property manager after we'd left the apartment. Aside from Schneider's very slick logo probably putting the fear of god into these slumlords, even the document was clear, concise, and decisive.To keep it short, Schneider Avocats deprived themselves of a pretty good chunk of change they could have acquired by recommending we drag things out for an easy win, to make sure we were able to do the healthiest & safest option as fast as possible. (getting the heck out of dodge) I can't thank them enough, and, as I continue on my long road to recovery, I sincerely recommend them to anyone in a similar situation. Hopefully I never need a lawyer for this sort of thing again, but if I do, I know who I'm going to. Price absolutely worth it.Thank you, Schneider Avocats.
