Je tenais à vous remercier pour la belle fin de semaine que j’ai passé à la petite maison de Trenholm.Il avait tout ce que j’avais de besoin et plus!J’ai pus profiter de la nature et le SPA était bien apprécié.Jolie Chalet super propre et accueillante. Idéal pour couple, petite famille ou même seule!Merci mille fois!Je recommande beaucoup cet endroit!

I'm disappointed of the extremely inflexible cancellation policies during a global pandemic. We rented a huge mansion for our wedding, which had to be cancelled due to covid. For our new wedding date, the property is unfortunately already booked. There is no flexibility or any kind of effort to help us find a solution to book another rental. Instead, we're forced to stick with a rental we have literally no use for.

I would avoid renting from this website. We rented a cottage to spend new year's eve with another family. The cottage had a problem with its septic tank and the entire place smelled like sewers. The problem got worse and worse and we finally had to leave before our stay. We had kept the concierge informed of the problem (called as soon as we arrived when noticed a smell and the next morning): they clearly knew of the issue and said there isn't anything that could be done.The concierge and the owner later denied everything, essentially accused us (4 adults) of making up the entire thing to get a discount. They even claimed to have went to the cottage with a smell detector. The agency's staff was clearly on their side: they billed us for the entire stay and did not offer any compensation.This is an untrustworthy and unprofessional service. I would avoid them and go with a service that allows user reviews.Update:You never offered compensation though you are clearly offering it now in exchange for a takedown of the review. You have a better chance at that by acknowledging the problem and apologizing.Glad to know you took the step to verify that no other tenants experienced issues with a permeating stench. Those must have been interesting conversations.All, please avoid our experience and rent with a professional and accountable service.

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour !Toutes les personnes qui étaient avec nous n'ont que du positif à dire ! Je louerai de nouveau ce chalet peu importe la saison car avec la piscine intérieure et le spa couvert, ils peuvent être utilisés à l'année !Les enfants ont eu tellement de plaisir et que dire de la vue...Tout simplement MAGNIFIQUE !Isabelle

I only have good things to say about the chalet we rented and the owners of it. The weekend was amazing and I do not regret that choice.The choice I regret was to go through Maisons & Chalets À Louer to make the reservation. Due to COVID, we tried cancelling, but there was no way to get our money back (money which in a period of uncertainty and job loss would've been way more useful in our bank accounts). The only thing we could get was a credit to rent at a later date. Which we did. But instead of frozing the amount for which we were initially renting the chalet, they just kept increasing the amount we had to pay depending on the dates we chose (we had to push the reservation twice, because of the multiple confinement waves). I can understand in a normal situation that the policies are there for a reason, but a pandemic, correct me if I'm wrong, is NOT a NORMAL situation.I didn't feel any compassion coming from them, the emails were cold, matter-of-fact-ually and we didn't feel like they were willing to help or accommodate us. I wouldn't recommend at all.

We found nice cabins with this website but be prepared to have a $500 amount frozen on your credit card many days before your stay and then it seems like even though we left the cottage very clean I cannot get the amount un-frozen for a few days. As soon as I leave a cottage and the owner/cleaning lady inspects (which I was told was later in the day I checked out) the money should be available not few days later. Please use air bnb instead.
