My first time visiting this restaurant. I ordered the Cantonese Chow Mein with Shrimp and it was a bit too salty. Overall, the other flavours in this dish were great. Their customer service was a little slow. Staff members communicated in a professional manner. The restaurant was clean and well maintained, but they need to increase the lighting indoor because it was too dark.

Went for dinner with my brother and sister-in-law law. Great space, and the food and drinks were pretty good. The only downside I would note was that the portion size to price ratio could be better. My sister in law had the Chili chicken, but in regards to the portion size of her meal, there wasn't much. The rice that came with her meal was barely half a cup in terms of serving size, and considering the price, I would expect a bit more in terms of portions sizes. For me, I had the Korean fried chicken. It was very tasty, and I really enjoyed it.

Pros:- Fried rice was good.- Service was great.- Washrooms are clean.Cons:- It was way too dark inside. People had to use their phone’s flashlights to be able to read their menu.- Portions are small for the price.- Crispy noodles were too salty.- Kid’s meal rice was undercooked (this is with chicken), we had to send it back to the kitchen and have it replaced with a new meal which is fried chicken. We noticed that the exact same chicken from the previous order was just recycled and reheated and served with the new order.

Food was fine, not amazing but not bad either. The portions however were tiny. Most people at my table were still very hungry afterwards (See photos for full entree portion sizes). They also force an 18% tip for larger parties. That's fine, standard practice. However they failed to tell us ahead of time that the 18% is AFTER their credit card fees, VAT fees, and taxes. Usually it should be on the total of the food, before extra fees. In the end the top ended up being 21%, which was NOT deserved. The waiter forgot 2 main courses and we were so hungry that the rest of the 12 people at the table all started eating while 2 party members had to sit and wait for at least 15 minutes. Nothing was done to make up for the wait. They said that the food was on the way" but they clearly forgot. Most of us were done eating by the time the other 2 main courses came out. They still forced us to pay 21% top for their terribl service."

Everything we ordered was superb. Could not pick a favourite. Every flavour was unique and lively. Ordered the lobster fried rice, general tso chicken, calamari, fried chicken bao and brussels. Food service was a tad slow but wait staff was very attentive. Little on the pricey side but that is to be expected at a ski resort. Definitely would eat here again!

I had a great experience at Mother Tongue Asian Bistro & Cocktail Bar. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, with an open kitchen and a modern vibe. The menu has a good selection of dishes and drinks.I ordered the burger, which was absolutely delicious! The patty was juicy and flavorful, and the bun was fresh and soft. The fries that came with it were crispy and well-seasoned.The service was good too. Our server was friendly and attentive, and the food came out quickly. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for good food and drinks in the Blue Mountains area.

Service was awesome but food wasn’t good and tasty and overpriced.Chicken in noodles were so bad and smelly.Duck was small and crepe was really dry.

Would give less than one star if I could. I have no idea why this place is rated so highly. As a Toronto foodie, the food we got here at mother tongue was a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU WANT REAL DELICIOUS ASIAN FUSION FOOD. My group and I were deceived by the 4.5 star rating that this restaurant had on google maps.We got the lobster fried rice and fried chicken fried rice. FIRST, it took a LONG TIME FOR OUR FOOD TO COME OUT. At least 40+ minutes. By the time it comes out we were all starving, and the dishes were COLD. The rice was all DRY and CLUMPED up, it seemed like the chef used DAYS OLD RICE and it absolutely did not taste right. There was also NO FLAVOUR, it tasted like they dumped soy sauce on one part of the rice and didn’t care enough to mix it well enough into the rest of the dish. The lobster bits were BURNT but COLD and the dish also had BURNED CORN… The fried chicken rice is supposed to have gochujang but there was no flavour and it tasted incredibly bland.We even heard a lady a few tables down from us complain about the exact same things: disgustingly cold rice and flavourless food. In fact, she sent her dish back to the waiter and refused to accept a new dish.Not to mention the lobster fried rice is about $41 after tax, extremely overpriced for disgusting food. Come here only if you want to waste your time and money.
