Twisted Lemon Restaurant & Boutique Inn
This place has very, very good food. I think the most surprising thing is how relatively affordable the food is for the quality you get. I like how chef Dan also roams the restaurant at times and is happy to talk about the concept and origin of all the dishes.We stayed the night at one of their rooms and that was also quite a nice relaxing experience! Has sort of an air BnB kind of vibe, but is also very welcoming.My only note is the drinks are quite expensive and run up the bill quite quickly.

Tried this place out for the first time today, this establishment came highly recommended by pretty much any of my friends who had been here previously. Quite the menu I must say. Tried a couple things out that I have never eaten before. The food was absolutely excellent! Higher end for pricing (well worth it). For starters we had the Duck confit Tacos and The Great Caeser toast (both were awesome! ), for mains we both enjoyed the Wild Boar dinner (with shrimo added) and The Pork belly and scallops, I will definitely order the Wild Boar again, the Asiago artichoke cream was an excellent accent to the Brussel sprouts and potato latkes, my gf thoroughly enjoyed her Pork belly and scallops. For desert I had the funnel cake brownie with creme brullee ice cream (wow!!) And she had the special which was a dark chocolate beer cake with berry sauce. The flavor profiles were all astounding. Definitely looking forward to trying more of their menu.

Last night we were lucky enough to be able to experience the Twisted Lemon Date Night menu. They are a restaurant and boutique inn and offer a really unique and delicious menu. Date night is a 5 course blind menu. You are not just paying for food, you are paying for the experience. I am going to go through each course to let you know a little bit about what you could get with the date night menu. (Every week is new dishes and a mystery)Course 1: We were started off with the lobster salad. It was a generous portion of perfectly cooked and seasoned lobster with a bit of spice from what I think is like a chili oil.Course 2: Sweet potato risotto. It was filling, homey and soothing. A perfect dish for a cold night. It was made with the flavors of bone marrow and pesto with some type of candied nut on top.Course 3: Duck confit deep fried in a wonton wrapper with a citrus celery salad and a wine sauce. The duck confit inside was so tender and seasoned perfectly. The surprise here was the citrus celery salad. Who knew citrus went so well with celery.Course 4: Smoked pork belly with a fruit compote (I cannot remember what fruit was in it) served on top of broccolini. It was the most tender pork I have ever had in my life and was complimented perfectly by the sweetness of the fruit compote.Course 5: A deconstructed tiramisu. It had a cake type base that tasted like banana bread and was topped with a cheesecake filling. Perfect balance of spice from the cake and sweetness from the cheesecake.The twisted lemon deserves all the credit. So if you are looking for both good food and a good experience then this is where to go. When you know. You know.

Have you ever stumbled upon a random restaurant and found a true diamond in the rough??That was us tonight! We were out (way out of town) and came across the Twisted Lemon Restaurant on Google while looking for somewhere to eat.We had no idea what to expect, but when we arrived we were lucky enough to even get a table in this almost always booked up little gem!From start to finish the entire meal and drinks were incredible. The passion, of who we believe was the owner, was amazing and the level of service from the staff exceeded every expectation we had.The custom drinks, our meals, the ahhhmazing dessert impressed us beyond measure.We cannot wait to return with friends and experience even more of what this restaurant has to offer.

Stayed overnight in The Munsee Room with my beautiful wife on a date night that included dining in their amazing restaurant. The perfect pairing (us too!).We have been in great anticipation of the addition of their Boutique Inn to stay over to make it a great long evening experience without the worry of the drive home.Booking was easy and checked in about 3:30pm in the restaurant. Staff was ready to help and getting out keys escorted us around to the entryway while reviewing all the details. They also supplied us with some brochure on local and package partner offerings. Very nice locked entry to the entry foyer nicely decorated with warm greetings for all and additional local information.Headed up the stairs, thankful for the handrail and found our room.Opening the door we were greeted with a tray of fruit, snacks and a bag of their delicious house made chips. The room was beautifully appointed with in a cool relaxed decor that included being functional where practical. The Munsee is their smallest and most affordable room which is perfect for our purpose. Nice mini side tables, slide under wall table stool and a Roku TV.The pictures I am attaching, really do speak to the hard work they have done and attention to detail.Everything from quality and quantity of towels, soaps in an exquisite bathroom, body wash, conditioner and shampoo in a modern shower with seating and a head/hose combo.A modern mini fridge with cool water and mini ice cube tray in the freezer. Coffee and Tea available for self making in the morning. Glassware including a couple of wine glasses, cups and Ceramic decorated bowls an small plates which we used for a small snack of selected meat cuts and cheeses.The Queen bed was beautiful and we slept easy after a long night of dining downstairs.Wifi is included and while there are lots of free streaming offerings available on Roku, you can bring your home login info or better yet your laptop or tablet with HDMI cable for any extended stay.Overall, a wonderful experience and we will be returning to stay. Likely try the Norton and Grand room and take a few days on a vacation to enjoy Cayuga and the beautiful North Shore of Lake Erie.

My wife and I went to the Twisted Lemon for our birthday weekend and all I can say is WOW!We booked the Grand Suite which was very reasonably priced, especially for what you get.We got a beautiful bed, fireplace, seating area, kitchenette, full bathroom with a large tub.Plus, some local goodies and massive ice cubes, to ensure you can enjoy their Clarity cocktails in your room or in the restaurant….The food…was truly epic.We have been to many fine dining restaurants around the world and some of the best restaurants in Canada and I can tell you that Twisted Lemon really is a top level fine dining experience.We got the Bone Marrow Mousse, Pistachio encrusted Scallops, a fresh beet and goat cheese salad, the sweet potato gnocchi with a mushroom cream sauce and finally the brownie fried in funnel cake batter.All unique versions and amazing!Our favourite was the scallops with a fresh pickled onion and apple salad.I could go on more but, you get it.The service was top notch and if you want a city getaway for a night, this is the spot to go!

My wife and I recently had dinner at the twisted lemon for the first time. It is a unique and one of a kind restaurant. The menu is eclectic and singular, wildbore and pickerel to name a few. The special that was available at the time was swordfish which sounded delicious.My wife had the chicken and waffles which were excellent, I had the pork belly and scallops. They were excellently prepare although I was expecting a larger portion for the price.The staff where very attentive to our table and service was fairly prompt.On the whole I would say it is a very interesting and one off place to dine.

Where to start?! We first experienced TL in the summer of 2020 with their take and bake which was a creative response to the pandemic. We loved the food and couldn't wait to experience a meal at the restaurant. We have been to TL a few times and every time the experience is incredible. The service is amazing, the food is off the charts, and the drinks are really special. The patio is gorgeous in the summer with their gorgeous planters, and Dan always makes his rounds during/after the meal to check in on how things were. Highly recommend this one of kind restaurant with incredible flavours.

We have celebrated both Mother’s Day and our 50th Anniversary at Twisted Lemon recently and there was nothing but accolades from everyone (although we have some of the “pickiest” eaters imaginable). The food, service, atmosphere were wonderful including the clarified cocktails which were new to all of us but greatly enjoyed! The owners are lovely and caring people, who display their creative passion through their food and hospitality.
