Descriptive Scanning

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! Fantastic service and pricing. Russ picked up my 275 photos at my front door and in less than a week, returned them along with a zip drive. It doesn't matter where you live, he will pick up and deliver, no extra charge. Super for all those old family photo albums sitting in the basement!

I recently had a 100 year old world map digitized to ensure it could be preserved for future generations of our family. The service provided by Descriptive Scanning was 2nd to none. They knew how important this map was to me and my family so the utmost care was provided. The quality of the final product was unbelievable. Now our entire family can look at this priceless piece of history anytime they want. The time and effort put into this project was extensive however the price was not. The final cost was more than reasonable. I highly recommend Descriptive Scanning. Professional and friendly.

Great service! Russ has a very personal attachment to, his level of service, and the quality of his job. I had quite a large project that involved hundreds of flat pictures, hundreds of slides, many videos, and some very old/valuable items that Russ handled with extreme care. This will now be transformed into 4 generations of family video episodes and brought to life for my family to enjoy for endless time. Thanks to Russ.

I highly recommend this company if you have old photos to scan. Russ is professional and his work is excellent. I am so grateful that he turned my mom's old photos into high quality precious digital images that I can use them to make a photo story slideshow in memories of her. Being the city in lockdown, his service is super fast, he picked up the photos, scanned them and dropped them off to my house all within one day in less than 8 hours, and I have 330 photos! I recently thought about digitizing all of my family's old photo albums after witnessing my neighbour's house burn down. It was a wake up call and got me asking myself what was really important if that had happened to us.So we looked around and found Russ' digitizing services and were glad we went with him. He picked up our photos and had them digitized in a timely manner at a reasonable price. He was very nice and took great care with the photos. He was even able to correct some issues with a few of them.If you have old photos or negatives that need digitizing, then look no further. Russ is the only person you need. I cannot recommend him enough and will be referring him to friends and family that need their precious memories safely digitized.Thank you Russ! Russell kindly came to my home to scan the heirloom JOURNAL and agreed to do some other digitizing as well. Russell was well-organized, always respectful and task-focussed. I very much appreciated his respect for history and the care with which he handled the old items. Not only was I happy with the work he did for me but his price was very fair!Descriptive Scanning was recommended to me by an archivist. I highly recommend the company's services for any digitizing of historical records and photos and/or organizing memories.

Russ was a very kind, accommodating, and helpful person to work with. He went above and beyond with how he handled the digitization, including both restored or touched-up photos and raw originals on the USB drive, which were all carefully organized. He took exceptional care of the physical photos and the albums as well, and because of his work, he was able to secure these memories for the foreseeable future, not only in digital form, but through proper handling of the original prints, which was equally important.I had been expecting to drive to Richmond Hill from Barrie to drop off and/or pick up the photos, but Russ handled all the travel himself and took the initiative to do so. I highly recommend this business for everyone's photographic digitization needs, and if I am able to retrieve more family photos, I will most certainly be making use of his service again.

I searched long and hard for a scanning service to digitize some old letters, cards and documents of mine, and was about to settle for either Staples or UPS. Then I found Russ, and am I ever glad I did. His work is high quality, affordable and convenient, well beyond anything available anywhere else. He answers his emails promptly, provides free pickup and return and treats people's personal materials as if they are his own. There's just no comparison. I've used his services twice now already and won't hesitate to do so again.
