This place is terrible. Elevators broken, power always turned off, water always turned off, internet always down, constant construction outside my door, Constant screaming in the hallways. People make several noise complaints and nothing changes???? This place charges you so much money for nothing to work right ! They took away the bike room and force you to squeeze your bikes in your tiny bedroom. Not to mention my room doesn’t even have a counter….After all these issues, the employees do not provide any help or solutions and are quit disrespectful. Definitely not returning in the fall nor plenty of other students.

Overall, it's a very good and convenient place but they already charge you a ridiculous amount for rent- and if you're a NAIT student- they make you pay 50 bucks a night just to move in in time for your classes to start, as well as to stay late enough to go to all your classes at the end of the year. They say they are trying to make things fair, yet make NAIT students pay potentially hundreds of dollars just to be able to go to their classes in time.

Good experience. Lived here for 3 years from 2017-20 and stayed in the hotel more recently. Fair priced accommodation for downtown YEG. Had the opportunity to network and make connections with people on campus who I wouldn’t have met otherwise. The rooms aren’t fancy and climate control is practically non-existent, but they are private and nicely furnished compared to most student dorms. Appreciated the front desk being open 24/7.

Lived here 3 years, don’t expect a luxurious hotel or a homey room.It is nice because you meet people and it’s close to school, I spent most of my time practicing music (I was in the music program) in Campus, I would just use my room at Res to sleep and eat my meals.

Good value. Stayed the night for a concert at Roger's Place and paid less than $100, including parking. This was a good deal for the night we were there, though I've been able to stay at actual hotels downtown for a similar price on previous trips. The walk to Roger's Place is less than 10 minutes door to door. There is a Tim Horton's/Wendy's right across the street, as well as several other restaurants and shops within walking distance. The area feels pretty safe and the building is very secure.The room, bedding, and towels were all quite clean. Check in was easy. It was a bit tricky to find. Take the entrance off 109 St if you're driving or enter the MacEwan campus right across from the Tim's/Wendy's if you're walking. Instead of a key card, you get a thick magnetic card and a key, which is pretty bulky to carry around.We had a bachelor suite, which was nicely sized and had a bed big enough for two people, as well as a full kitchenette. The bed wasn't very comfortable and made a lot of noise, and the pillows were pretty flat. It was fine for one night, but I wouldn't want to sleep in this bed for much more than this. The shower head was pretty high and since I'm short and the shower is small, I had a hard time keeping my head away from the water.

Price for two bedroom dorm is pricey, mattress is terrible, and internet connection is okay-ish (connection issues, limited speed).Dorm room have one microwave, no oven, stove top only, limited cutting space, great maintenance service, good services (game room, theatre, wellness center, etc).

Such a great place to live! The staff is amazing, and the rooms are the perfect size. If you're looking for a safe and fun place to live during your time at MacEwan, look no further than MacEwan Residence.

Love it here! I've been living here for 3 years, and it's been a great experience. Residence staff is very helpful and the events are so fun. Front desk staff is super knowledgeable and available 24/7. Will be coming back!

If your looking for a place to drain your money this is it. They charge you for everything, from wanting to move in early, from wanting to move out early no matter what they charge! Getting my own place would have saved me so much money. This place is a joke. I’ve been moved out for 4 months and now they are asking for $800 from me. LITERALLY THEY CHARGE for everything. Wouldn’t recommend and will not be staying again.

Unless you are willing to pay $1000 a month for a concrete bunker. I would suggest an apartment building close by.
