It's over an hour drive out of way for me so I called ahead of time asking if they have a bird cage. I have asked for specific things, the lady on the phone said they have many different options and she cant look so I should just come. Well it turns out they had 2, one of which had too wide bar spacing so unsafe and completely useless and the other one had the type of sliding door I have specifically asked i dont want. So we spent 2 hours in the car just to walk in, see one that's completely not working and another one that's broken and we were told thats all they have... at least they had a boxed version of the broken one for a reasonable price, but it really got on my nerves that they lied and dragged us all the way there.

There is a staff member here who stands around staring at you as you look at product and then uses passive aggressive language like eye-rolling at you from across the room. It’s really strange and I’m not sure she should work in customer service with her behaviours. I used to shop here a lot and don’t remember her previously because my encounters prior were great. She is older, short hair, carries a bird. Stay away from her, she’s unhinged. I’m moving my business elsewhere.

If I could give zero stars I would. The manager Alan is so disrespectful towards women and this is t the first time I’ve had this happen shopping in here.Honestly not worth spending the money when you can go elsewhere with better customer service and a better environment to be accepted in.Pet smart is down the road or Bosleys honestly

Called and asked the store if they have any Russian Dwarf hamsters and was told that they have 3. Drove 30 minutes out to their store just find out that they were all robo hamsters. Staff member literally told me that Robos and Russian Dwarfs were the same thing and went on to pretty much say that I was in the wrong and then she just walked away in middle of our conversation.... She seemed as if she was uninterested in speaking to me. Really sad as I spent hundreds here previously, I bought a cage, a Russian hamster (since they carried them before) and supplies. Really disappointed.

Adopted a beautiful Syrian hamster here. The one we chose was one of the staff members Christine’s favourite and was sad to see her go. Our little Mochi was the calmest hamster there, she let me rub her belly and enjoyed being in my hands, we had to take her home. You can tell the staff really love all the animals and take great care of them. They are also very helpful and knowledgeable!

I don’t have any horrible experience with the staff like others say but I do have a problem with how they price their animals specifically their feathered friends and how they are majorly price gouging for sun conures. I could buy 4 ( 2 for 1100) ferrets for the price of one sun conure that’s typically 600~800$ they are asking 2109$ How do they even justify that

I love this store and the animals they have. However, I can’t stand the customer service.I have been in here several times to buy a hamster, and have left empty-handed each time. The employees follow you around the store, and make the experience awkward and annoying.I’m sure these employees are being trained to perform this way, as all of them do it. I have noticed I am not the only one experiencing this. I too have worked and managed retail, and I understand both sides.As a customer I do have to say it’s too much though. Checking in with me once or twice would be more than enough.

If you go and buy fish and plants there ask for Christine if she is working. Young woman with a ton of knowledge, always smiling and courteous. Went there twice this week and every time I asked her if she could help me she did so promptly and happily plus she genuinely knows the industry. It is always hit and miss going there. Christine is a definite asset to this place. Her fish bagging skills are second to none. Double bagged in a way they could not get stuck in the corners. Very impressive. A + service from Christine.
