Morning breakfast here - very quiet with only one other table. Thoroughly impressed as a first timer here.Lai Wan Congee ($7): great portion size with quality ingredients (bbq pork, fish, peanuts, other various meat/seafood). Good consistency and not overly thick like some chain restaurants.Sweet Fried dough ($3): hard to wrongRice noodle fried dough ($6): really enjoyed the thin rice noodle - so refined!Paper bowls and online ordering. Reasonable prices in times of inflation too. Definitely one of the better Chinese breakfast places these days.

Yin Ji Chang Fen 銀記腸粉 （HWY 7)
We decided to give this a try on Saturday noon time. The place is not too big but we were able to get a seat without waiting. Also table and seats were disinfected after each use. The food were freshly made to order and served hot in take-out containers for convenience. Only complaint I have was the portion size of the fish skin dumpling were smaller than my expectation.

Was excited to come back to have their famous rice noodle. Turned out only thing improved was the price. The 牛利酥 wasn’t that soft and crunchy. The rice noodle lost the original flavour. Congee was very average. And we don’t appreciate using take out containers while dining in.

Food is good but services can be much more organized and polite. They expect you to be moved mid-meals after waiting a long time in line so they can make more profits by entertaining another set of customers. It would be all reasonable if it was more polite and followed up readily with food services. (Thankfully, the patrons are much more friendly and understanding.)However, this is only true for the half the order. Only congee was hot but fried dough and noodle rolls was lukewarm and milk tea was also lukewarm. The milk tea was not only lukewarm for us but for the table next door that they literally had to ask the (阿姐) to microwave it.The lady also demanded one of the paying customers to add tips since it was insufficient in the change that was returned. It would seem fair if she was nicer.The younger gentleman serving drinks seems to be much more polite and discreet which is a breath of fresh air after witnessing all the other happenings.They would benefit some sort of restructuring with the service portion of their restaurant otherwise to be such a cute and original restaurant for everyday eats. It is just unfortunate that you get more polite responses from other patrons than with their servers.

This place had high reviews, so my family and I wanted to try it out and see for ourselves. For starters, the place itself is quite small. We had a large group (around 12 people). Although they did there best to accommodate us, I did not feel comfortable as I was sitting side by side with my family members with no elbow room. It was a hassle getting in and out when members needed to use the restroom as well. When we wanted to order the beef brisket with egg noodle, we were told they ran out and they could replace it with the Chang fun (rice noodle roll) instead. We were surprised they ran out as it was just 11:00 am. We ordered various congees and the beef brisket with Chang fun. For starters, the portions were quite small and not filling. You would have to order 3 portions to be full and with each item being $6.50-$7.50, you would spend a minimum of $21+ to be satisfied. In addition, the congee was bland and did not have much flavour. The same goes for the various other items we had received. It is edible, but for the price and small portions, I would recommend elsewhere.

Nice place for HK favourites simple meal. Quick service. Not a fancy seating but acceptable. Very busy and crowed when we dropped in during the lunch on Monday afternoon. We ordered the fish congee, sticky rice and shrimp rice noodle roll.

Decent restaurant for a light breakfast/lunch. We enjoyed the rice noodles and congee. The dough stick and cruller were tasty as well (not pictured). Just didn't like all the one time use cutlery even though we dined in.

Pretty good Guangzhou style rice noodle dim sum dishes. (Not exactly the same as HK style rice noodles dishes.)I bought take out and everything tasted very good, so eating in the restaurant is likely fantastic; will have to try next time.
