BAB Korean Food & BBQ

We were craving Korean food and glad there was a place in Hamilton, not too far of a drive from where we were coming from (Niagara). No wait time for a table but we waited at least 25 min for our mains to come which is not typical for an Asian restaurant.What’s worst was my husband’s gamjatang was sooooo salty that we needed to mix it with water. You would think that the food would come out right when they take that long to make it but no. Apps were free and those dishes were really good!

It was a fluke I ended up here but it's one of those times where you are glad you made that decision because it was one of the best meals I've had period. This my first real Korean cuisine experience and it set the bar extremely high... staff were very kind, it should be on You Gotta Eat Here". Other than pork dumplings I don't know what I ordered because most of the menu was in Korean but it has a brief English description and it was some type of Spare Rib Pork bowl... Great Job BAB! I highly recommend. I do not like any type of fermented cabbage but this was my first experience so I always try new things

Best Korean in Hamilton and that's a big fear because Korea House and Owl of Minerva are great! The lunch special is a great price and tons of food. Don't walk run to Barton for a hidden gem. Also the kimchi was amazing.

Let me start off by saying once you enter the restaurant a big whiff of grilled kalbi penetrates through your nose and leaves you hungrier than ever. Great start. Servers were very welcoming and the seating was fantastic. Great sized tables and ample room for a group of people. We ordered the haemul pajeon (could’ve been fried a little longer for extra crispiness but flavour was on point), the kalbi beef (juicy and succulent), the tookbaegi bulgogi (amazing because I love the sweeter soups with lots of beef), yangnyeom chicken (juicy, but the breading was a bit off and needed seasoning- maybe use a different batter) and the ddukboki (great flavours, adequate spice level, tons of goodies). All in all, our party of 3 did not finish it all since the portions were big, and definitely worth it! Will be coming back again!!

One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. period. The food is amazing and that is such an understatement. I’ve been probably a dozen times and will continue to go. The service at the Barton St location is so good and everyone there is so friendly. I will say since opening their other locations the portion sizes have been decreasing in size and there’s no more dessert. The serving sizes, included appetizers and desserts were part of what impressed me so much, in addition to how good the food is. Down to the little details like the rosemary in the water just made the whole experience so good every time. It is the ultimate comfort food.

It was our first time trying the Korean Cuisine. The staffs were very courteous and friendly, she walked us through the entire menu and helped us decide. Food was incredibly tasty. We tried Hot Plates and Dumplings. It was probably one of the quickest place in terms of serving food. The complimentary dessert at the end just gave it a perfect ending. Absolutely glad that we tried Korean and that too from BAB!

We enjoyed our time and our food here. Waiter was friendly and helpful, service was ok. Lack of Korean beverages was disappointing. Portions were good and decently priced. Several of us had stone bowl meals: beef, pork and chicken. Good taste but nothing to rave about. We expected the food to be spicier. We also ordered and shared the friend Korean chicken. It was excellent. Slightly spicy but also sweet. Not sure we would go back but we would recommend.

This is an excellent Korean restaurant and is truly a wonderful place to eat authentic Korean food.The restaurant has a nice ambiance and is very well lit and not noisy so you can have conversations with your party.The waiters are very friendly and checked on us multiple times during the meal to ensure we had enough water, and if we needed a refill on our sides.After being seated we received a menu full of delicious meals and once we decided on our food, we could press a button on the wall to call a waiter to our table.The food came out fairly quick and we did not wait very long to receive all our meals.All of our food came out super hot and still sizzling or boiling and remained hot during the whole meal.The food was delicious, well portioned, and left you wondering what you would order the next time you came for a meal.The bathrooms are clean, and smell nice.The restaurant itself was very clean.

Took my wife to this restaurant on her birthday as she admires korean culture and food, and this place didn't disappoint. The food was amazing and ambience was perfect. She loved the hot pot, crispy chicken dumplings, fried chicken and the sides. The staff welcomed us with a smile and were courteous throughout. Five stars for this great cozy nook corner place, its a piece of Seoul in hamilton.

Incredibly good! This is definitely setting a new standard for Korean food for me.The staff are very courteous and attentive, they discussed recommendations when we were undecided among their many delicious looking options, the food is served very quickly, looks and tastes great, the whole atmosphere is very friendly, bright, and clean.The kpop in the background is played at a great volume for ambiance that allows for conversation and efficient communication. Easily my new favourite spot for Korean food! Highly recommend!
