Anges Gourmels is a Portuguese delights paradise in Montreal. I am Brazilian and I have lived in Montreal for 10 years and for the first time I saw this place while was passing in front at St Laurent looking for a new Breakfast place. This is a small restaurant but we were surprised by the quantity and quality of the food in general, with big sort of breads, sweet, tasty sandwiches and the service was really fast and friendly.We ate more kind of Americans breakfast with eggs, but we want to return to try more Portuguese dishes. The place also sells Portuguese delicacies as Pastel de Natas" (or Pastel de Belém as we call it in Brazil) and today I tried a small version of the Pastel de Nata with nuts

Tasty pastel de nata. Flakey and crunchy shell, with a creamy custardy filling. Could have benefitted with some cinnamon.

The welcome was much appreciated. The gentleman was very helpful and curteous. Although the Nata pastries were very good, I did not appreciate some of their other products. I will therefore move along and try other places.

Very delicious pasteis de natas and coffee. The owner is very welcoming, we discussed about our last trip to Portugal with him.It's 9$ for 6 pasteis de natas.

The pastéis de nata are delightful! The rich egg custard filling nestled in a shatteringly crisp puff pastry! Yum!

We stopped by for a coffee and the Portuguese tarts. The tarts were flakey and crispy, the custard was chilled and sweet. Nicely paired with a black coffee!

Cake isn’t my type, but I really like their egg tarts. Could be my fav egg tarts in Montreal so far.Staff is really nice and friendly.
