From the very beginning Paul was difficult to get a hold of, and bad at returning calls. This would have been tolerable had he actually done a reasonable job. After taking over a month to finish my returns and missing the deadline, Paul proceeded to fail to actually file any of the 4 returns that I paid him for. He also made a number of critical mistakes, including not claiming my RRSP contributions, which would have significantly reduced my return had I not reviewed his work.Since Paul never filed any returns I was forced to pay late fees, but when I tried to get him to cover them, he did not respond to email or phone calls.Update: They've responded saying they'd reach out, but 3 weeks later I haven't heard anything

Annie lies! She puts things off then pretends she didn't know. Taxes are not filed then says its clients needs to find stuff or I still need to get " this in from you and that she already asked us when she never asked. Doesn't care about dead lines or anything it seems. She is personable but the job takes a long time to get done IF they follow through. Other staff seem helpful.I will be looking for someone else this place does not seem organized."

I have not utilized their services directly... only had to deal with them because a supplier I utilize has hired them to run the accounting side of things. I would highly caution against retaining them for your business. They issue incorrect billings and credit memos regularly. They ignore emails even when multiple requests for a response are issued. I have only been able to elicit a response when I get angry and aggressive about refusing to pay until this issue is sorted. I feel bad for the company that hired them to outsource this part of their business. It makes them look bad - when I'm sure they hired Atum in good faith. I was fortunate enough with my most recent issues that I got to read some of the emails sent between the business and Atum directors conversing about my displeasure... they stated another customer is upset about the turn around times on her issue being resolved" and "issues have been occurring with their overall response time". The company requested for someone from Atum to PHONE me and get this sorted out today. Instead I received this crummy email response "We apologize for the inconvenience

I've had a number of great experiences with Atum Financial. I would highly recommend their services. They are very knowledgeable, professional and easy to work with.

If you want your taxes done quickly and correctly do not use atum financial. It 3 weeks to complete my return and when I showed up to receive them they still weren’t done, they had to complete them while I sat in the office . Also their rates are ridiculous.

Have used Atum for many years much to my disappointment. If you go here, expect your return to take up to 6 weeks for it to even get finished. Prices are unreasonably high for the amount of time it takes for a simple return, and whenever I called for an update on if my taxes were done or not, I was either ignored, yelled at over the phone, or told to stop calling, as a client I have the right to check in on what I'm paying you to do. The employees will make excuses for not having your taxes completed within a reasonable timeframe. And then they failed to apply my staycation credit, even though they were reminded multiple times.Update: This company called the police to try to have this review taken down, and for harassment" which the police laughably didn't entertain. Police informed me that there is free speech in this country

Anu is excellent! I made 5 phone calls to different accountants before choosing them. She answered ALL my questions over the phone to my complete satisfaction. Later when I emailed her more she answered those too, without any assurance that they would have my business.Did a great job with the return. All honest advise. Can't wait for my Refund !

I have use Paul and Annie for years, and they have always been wonderful! They have helped me with my business a lot. I would highly recommend them.

I spent 3 years with a local accountant and just recently switch to Atum Financial and what I have learned over this short period of time and what Paul, Annie and their amazing team has done for me personally and my company has been nothing short of amazing...feels great to be in good hands
