MaMa Chef Korean Restaurant
My partner and I decided to eat here for late dinner and was really happy with our experience. We got the seafood soybean stew, kimchi stew and veggie dumplings - all delicious and nice portions!! I really appreciated how the server offered us more side dishes. I enjoy the cozy atmosphere here and the servers were attentive but gave us space too. Although it was getting closer to closing time, they told us to take our time. :)

Food here is reasonably priced for the quality and portions. I was told that the food is made by an actual older female chef, hence the name MaMa Chef." Everything was delicious and waitresses are nice."

LOVE this spot. It’s definitely one of my favourites in K-town. I found the portion sizes to be very large for the price which is always great. It wasn’t busy at all when I went which is a shame because this place is so amazing. I definitely recommend it if you like Korean food!

Went here three days ago and still thinking about it. Nice casual spot with good service and yummy food! The soft tofu spicy soup was truly amazing. The vegetable pancake was crispy and tasty and the vegetable dumplings were melt in your mouth scrumptious. Already thinking about what I’m gonna order next time and I can’t wait!!

I love Korean food and this place felt like I was back in Seoul. The tteokbokki (simmered rice cake) is a must try! Service was great and prices were reasonable.

Friendly staff and good food overall. I went there right before closing time but no problem ordering food and everything was still decent. My wife loved the food, the best part :)

I have ordered the boodae chigae korean hot pot and its just gross. My roommate and I could not even finish the meal and just ordered burgers because it was literally that bad… I am Korean and usually I would cook my own meals but since it was an exhausting day.. I wanted to treat myself. The soup itself was sweet.. everything was sweet including the kimchi that came as a side dish. They should not be labelling themselves as a “Korean” restaurant because its misleading. This soup was NOT the traditional boodae chigae. It was just a soup of disappointment. Don’t waste your money here.. We literally took 2 bites and threw everything out. Just RUN while you can.

I always get the spicy chicken stir fry, and sometimes a vegetable pancake. Everything is always made fresh to order and tastes so good! The staff are always very nice and make the place comfortable. Definitely worth trying!
