Lister Residence

A great place to stay for students and new employees. I spent my quarantine days (DEC 1-14, 2020) in Lister Residence. I was staying at Schaffer Guest Suite 232. All facilities including high speed internet are there. Moreover, Kudos to all the friendly, kind and responsive staff.

If you want a basic level place to stay for a night or two, so this is the best. Good price, and clean rooms. Try to book as early as possible, because it is always booked.The nicest thing is the proximity to the Alberta University, so you would not have to get into any transportation. And the parking availability is good.Recommend the place

The place was nice with good parking. The exam room/conference room were good and the cafeteria is right on the second floor which offers nice refreshments. Overall, it’s a good place for small events.

Is good, but very overpriced; especially for international students. The network connectivity is super bad.

well its a university residence so oncourse it is overpriced, the food is terrible, like really bad except once or twice a week it would taste like normal edible food. social life is unmatched so that's a plus point

Had so much memories in here! Although having a roommate is nice but single rooms are a lot better!

I decided to have my child staying in Lister Residence after thorough research of all available residences in the area and oh my God, how lovely place it is, so nicely done and so convenient, the cost was worth every penny, recommended

Even though I don’t live here I was there to visit and it was a nice hall. There was great atmosphere and nice students. I’ve heard some interesting stories haha

Run away! If you want to graduate and have a comfortable university life, stay away from lister.

I lived in Lister’s Schaffer Hall for this school year. Overall experience was neither too good nor too bad. It was just barely okay I think. The first few months there were very good (When entry a new place, passion and energy come out first then they ran out pretty fast lol)and things got lame quickly. Everyone lives in Lister has to purchase the meal plan for either 5 or 7 days a week. The food was just worse than the homemade always tbh. I enjoyed their Fish&Chips and sometimes omelette only lol. Please just buy 5-day one because you could save money for tasty food from outside of this place. This place is pretty far away from most of the academic buildings so I had to walk like 10-15 minutes to my classroom on the weekdays. I know it sounds pretty ok but imagine during the winter with heavy snow and freezing winds just all slamming on your face. It ain’t fun ;/ My personal suggestion is to live in the HUB MALL which should be better than Lister.
