Incredible atmosphere, packed with people on a Thursday afternoon. Everything was beautiful, the space and the food. They had their own twist on the BBQ pork pastry with orange, and I tried the adorable soup dumplings and they were great. My daughter tried chicken feet for the first time and ate several. I had to get the piggy dessert because it was adorable but I have no idea what it is. It has the texture and firmness of a hard boiled egg but tastes sweet and a bit like custard. This is definitely a great place to take someone to impress them. Fancy, but not as fancy, with all our favorites was the Pink Pearl. I suggest that you, like us, try them both! I did like the tea better at the Pink Pearl, but have no regrets wowing my daughters that I found this epic fancy and adorable dim sum restaurant. We called about an hour ahead and got reservations for noon. So glad because the place was PACKED by then, but we got right to a table. Good service, the wait for food wasn’t long.

This is my favorite spot for dimsum in Vancouver! I love the central location and it isn’t too difficult to find parking, although you might have to pay if their reserved customer parking is full. You can get your parking re-imbursed if you do some shopping at the T&T.We made a reservation for 10 people on Friday evening for Sunday at 12:30 and they were so quick to book us in! They reserved us a table in one of their side rooms which was lovely for some extra quiet and a more private space. The customer service is always stellar here with prompt refills of our teapots. They would stop by regularly with some off-the-menu items to add to your table which I really enjoyed. They offered these huge fried sesame balls which was so delightful. It was a huge hit with our table.I love their selection of dishes. All of them were executed wonderfully and they had some more elevated versions of classic dishes if you want to try something new.We brought cakes and dessert and there was no extra charge for that.I’ve dined here for dimsum at least 4 times now. I’m officially a regular here!

I recently visited New Mandarin with my parents while in Vancouver and we had an amazing experience! We were craving dim sum and the food here did not disappoint - it was excellent. The service was also great and we especially enjoyed sitting in the VIP room. It was quiet and the fancy decorations added to the overall ambiance. The only downside was that the prices were a little on the high side

This is my favourite go-to place for authentic Cantonese cuisine. The service is stellar and the food is good. Portions a pretty decent and prices are reasonable. We really like the seafood here. We’ve had dim sum here before and it’s pretty good too. They do the fancy pretty dim sum. Think swans, pigs and animal buns. Will for sure keep kids entertained. Some things to note: They do charge for take-out containers. So if you want to avoid that, you can bring your own containers. You’ll also need to register your car for free parking at the front if you choose to park downstairs.

Amazing and creative dim sum, nice ambiance. Stopped by around 1:30pm on a Saturday and we were seated immediately. The dim sum were all very tasty, but my favorite were the rice rolls with egg tofu and scallops, and the tofu skin with shrimp and pork. The restaurant also has huge fried sesame balls that were the best I’ve had.

Popular Chinese restaurant with Chinese families. Pricer but with larger portions. Great presentation on food, mediocre serviceGood setup for banquets, weddings and celebrations - lighting, full wall screen.

The restaurant was smaller than expected, and it was very busy. We had a reservation but we still had to wait 15-20 minutes. The food was beautifully presented, and the taste was good but the “specialty items” like the hot & sour soup dumplings; wasabi scallop and prawn dumplings lacked flavor.

Quality and taste didn’t match the price. A bit more than your average dim sum, nothing exceptional. The strawberry mousse dessert bear was unique, but wasn’t fully thawed when it arrived unless that was the intention? Worth a try!

Service was typical of most Chinese restaurants. The noodles (瀨粉) were the best I’ve had in Metro Vancouver. The Crispy Pork and Roasted Duck were also better than most restaurants I’ve tried. Note that there is a wait on the weekend even if you’ve made a reservation.

Great food and service.Things I don't like(or they could have been better):1. Their official website is not updated, the list price was 30% less than the current price. I am fine with price increase due the inflation is everywhere, but at least they should keep the information updated2. The manager didn't let us know in advance that if we order $150 more, they will give out a dish for free, we ended up with packing a lot of food
