Where to start. First, their sales staff (who has since left the company) were inexperienced in regards to the scope of their position. For example, they were unaware of available options and/or not forward with all available options. Highly suggest that when you bring up ideas on how to “fully customize” you home, have evidence that it can be done. However, also then be prepared to be priced out of having it done.Their building plan is the only one I’ve ever seen that completely seals the inside of the home, (insulation, poly, drywall) before sealing the exterior of the home with siding. At the time of our build, late 2020 into 2021, we were told that it was a supply issue as to why our house wasn’t being sided after sealing the interior. When I questioned why at minimum they didn’t wrap the home in tyvek, the response was, “the horizontal seams on the outside had tyvek wrap and the properties in the osb ensure that moisture is a non issue. Well, conversations with third party home inspectors, this was met with skepticism and was highly suggested that if we experienced consecutive days of rain, that an infrared scan should happen to ensure integrity of the insulation wouldn’t be compromised. Luckily it was a dry spring. However, having lived in our community for over a year now, it seems the “siding supply” issue may have been a fib. Coventry is the only builder that completes the siding last. How is every other builder completing the the siding or at minimum, fully wrapping the houses in the early build stages, regardless of siding colour?The warranty process during the first year is again met with ineptness. Employees not understanding building codes, service members looking for reasons to not get trades to come to fix work (was actually asked by the home care advisor if I could do the work myself!).Our neighbour had the construction manager actually tell him about a degrading driveway issue that, “it doesn’t have to look good, just has to work.” (After only a few months of possession. Alberta home warranty in fact did require sections to be replaced)For a company that sells themselves as “goodbye to cookie cutter,” they are anything but. The customizable options are no different than any other builder. We are happy with the layout of our home and the community we built in and that is where it ends. If we were to do it again, we would stay clear of Coventry. Would not recommend them to anyone.

This is the way a home buying experience should go! Our sales manager, Jared Keehn, was upfront from the get go and was truly on our side to get a deal done. Jared met us with excitement, and is a genuine individual. This was a 4 month process as we had to sell our existing home. Jared stayed in touch the whole time with consistent touch bases to keep us informed on the prospective house we were looking at. Jared is absolutely the guy! This is our first house that we've ever bought and it introduced a number of challenges for the first time buyers. Our realtor advised us to have a look at the house that we ended up buying. I was really anxious about the quality and the process of buying. I'm revealed to say that Coventry has done an excellent job, starting from modifying an already great house plan to design to supervising the contractors to the final walkthrough.Our house was built based on the standard model but with some custom modifications that the builder decided on adding. We keep discovering the specific reasons why here and there it was done in this specific way, and I have to say - I would have never thought of these handy solutions by myself.Pros:- The house was impeccably clean during the possession.- The model is amazing. Custom modifications (such as walk in pantry) are making it even better.- Material quality is great.- No problems with communications.- Price was reasonable.I would highly advise considering Coventry as your dream home builder.

I recently purchased a new home from Darren in St. Albert and I must say, the process was incredibly smooth. Last year I came to know about Coventry Homes by viewing a number of their show homes. I was immediately impressed with the quality of workmanship and jaw dropping show home presentations. Additionally, the service was friendly, accommodating and professional.My plan is to upgrade from my current townhouse to one of their beautiful bungalows in a year or two from now. My wife and I just took possession of my home a few days ago and we are very impressed with the quality of work that went into building our home. The service from Amber in the Crystallina show home has been great this past year of building, she has always been very professional and quick to get back to us on concerns and has been available to walk us through our home whenever we needed. Everett the superintendent in the area was also great to work with as well. You can tell that he really cares about the quality of work that goes into the homes the he builds and that he wants to offer the best product to his customers. He also answered any questions that we had and gave good suggestions. Overall we were very happy with our purchase and would recommend Coventry for anyone looking for a good quality home.

In the first quarter of 2022 Myself, my wife were looking for builder who can accommodate and build our home based on our custom requirements. Most of the builders would either deny to change design or would charge exponentially for little change. Then we fortunately met Vanja at Laurel Coventry Show Home. From the day 1 we were very pleased and impressed by theway Vanja treated us, listened carefully to our requirements and made us feel comfortable. He even went above and beyond in helping out with mortgage by recommending builder mortgage brokers. Fortunately everything fit in our budget and here we are June 2023 in our dream home. Each and every corner of the home were changed by us and million thanks to Vanja for allowing our custom requirements and thanks to his expertise and great suggestions on our selections from design to colors. We have little one added to the family and Vanja has been with us through out the process. He has become one of our family and if it wasn't the area sales manager at the time of our home search, probably we would have pass on to Coventry Homes like other builders. Jessica and Amber also helped us with documentation and with appointments when Vanja was out of station and I love the way they are and I wonder how they maintain their calmness even when they're super busy. They were quick in response and super friendly. At the end Josh turned out to be one of the experienced person in his field and really helped us in walking through our home and provided his suggestions for home maintenance. He's a rock star. Can't thank enough and Coventry Homes must keep their greatest treasures like Vanja and Josh. I have already started recommending my friends and family Coventry Homes. I thank Vanja and Josh whole heartedly and wish them all the best for their future endeavors and also thanking and wishing Coventry Homes to be what they are and continue their contributions to the society and reach their milestones in each and every corner of the city.
