Judy, runs a puppy mill. Way over breeding, dogs outside in the cold, freezing cold garage has cages upon cages of puppies. Sick puppies. Stay far away!

I have had the pleasure of fostering one of Skylon Kennels male Golden Retrievers for the past 8 years, and I must say I do not know what I would do without my boy! Judy has done amazing things for the breed for 50+ years and has a fierce passion to continue to better the breed and maintain a strong healthy bloodline! Contrary to two trolls' posts about this kennel, I have always found the dogs to be healthy and happy when I have dropped my dog off for stud services. Which is not surprising given her dedication to dogs and her decades as a professional breeder, all-breed handler and, most recently, a CKC all-breed judge!

I was hoping to get a pup from Judy in the next month or two, but she’s just made the whole process far too painful and difficult.I do know an adult dog from Skylon and he’s lovely, which is the main reason I reached out her at all. But after being told on at least two separate occasions that she “couldn’t understand why I’d want a dog from her” I finally gave in.Judy is very rude, and defensive, and should absolutely invest in some etiquette lessons. Especially related to online interactions.If you just want a golden, are okay with having no say in what you get beyond the gender, and have no desire to speak to, or deal with, the breeder. Then Judy may be the right fit for you, but if you want a professional who will take you seriously and speak to you with respect, then it’ll be best to look elsewhere.

Another breeder just wanting your cash. No different than a puppy miller. Dogs born on concrete floors and mothers left there to nurse until the puppies are sold. It’s a puppy mill for a certain breed. Please rescue.

We had a really good experience at the kennel here. Judy is very knowledgeable about golden retriever breeds. She chose our puppy from a litter for us after an in-person interview. Our puppy is healthy, adorable, and very smart. We looked at a few different places for our puppy and she's the best we found.

Gove it a 0 star .....PUPPY MILL ,dogs are left out in the cold no blankets in a garage with no heat , and brocken windows. They are placed in single crates stacked on top of each other. The puppy's are kept in the basment in kennels on cold cement floors. Poor mama's look so sad. Please do not support these people they are using these dogs to make money. For some reason they remain open

Our beautiful boy just turned nine. He has the best temperament of any golden I have owned. He is sweet, gentle, and excellent with other dogs, kids, and strangers. On top of that, he hasn't had to go to the vet once in his life. He is a prime example of what this breed can offer. Thank you Judy and Skylon!

★★★★★My first three Golden Retrievers all came from Skylon Kennels in the early 1990s . They were stunningly beautiful dogs with lovely personalities. I had no issues with health concerns. 30 years later, when our lifestyle permitted, I was delighted to see that Judy was still breeding and concerned about the health and wellbeing of the Golden Retriever bloodlines. Last week we picked up a beautiful puppy and met a few of Judy's other dogs. Our puppy is everything I could have hoped for and beyond. He seems to be in excellent health, is extremely well tempered, affectionate, socialized and easy to train. These features speak to quality breeding and the care he has received during his first 8 weeks. We are looking forward to the years ahead and if I were able to have another Golden I would definitely return. The negative reviews I am seeing here completely do not fit with my experience. Our new boy is absolutely wonderful and our family couldn't possibly be more delighted with this handsome affectionate fellow.

I'd give this Puppy Mill Breeder a 0 if I could. Stay away and end the suffering of these poor pups being born for nothing but profit. Awful place.

I bought a dog from Judy 3 years ago now. When I first got there, was about 20 dogs that had been about the same age 8 weeks old… I asked where the mother was and she was “at a vet visit” I also was told my dog was half lab and half Rottweiler. He is 100% pure lab. I have gotten him tested. When I first picked him up from them he was extremely skiddish. I thought nothing of it until I read some more reviews, she is nothing but a puppy mill. Absolutely disgusting place, taking advantage of people and her dogs. This place makes me sick everytime I think about it. I should have posted this within 6 months of owning my sweet boy. Please stay away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
