ENT Solutions: Dr. Daniela Filippone

Got sent by family doctor in 2019 to see her about my sinus problem. After getting tests done at hospital I finally saw her in Sept 2022. Was told had deveited septum. Now that I need to have it corrected, was told today that she doesn't do surgical procedures anymore!! Unreal!! So if any patient is going to see her a you need surgery, she doesn't do it!!

I found Dr Filippone to be honest, respectful, understanding and very gentle. She showed interest and was attentive to what I said. All in all, I found her to be professional and would recommend her with no hesitation. Yes, there is a waiting time before you get an appointment but that's how it is everywhere.

Firstly, I was taken aback by the atmosphere of the “examination room”. If there is an attempt to have the room looking like a “spa” (This was a fail). The environment added to the lack of seriousness I found in her responses to my concerns. I was extremely disappointed in the behaviour of this physician. She was dismissive to my issues and her offering was a Massage Therapy referral. This doctor was adement that no issues presented in the hearing test (which did not line up with what I had been told by the tester, day of).Of the 3 medical persons who had physically looked in my ears since first having issues, this doctor spent only a portion of the time that others had. This doctor became Immediately dismissive and seemingly offended with me when I asked how she was determining / confirming that there is not something more specifically presenting in the inner ear. I was reminded that my ears were perfectly fine and “what do you want me to do”. This doctor did however, remind me of her credentials.I left, shaking my head and wondering if there was a hidden camera as the appointment seemed laughable.That said, I called the referral (“massage therapist”) I was so flippantly offered.I simply asked if this doctor provides many referrals to this massage therapist and it was confirmed “oh yes”!Perhaps it’s a business building play.... or so it felt at the time.Seriously Disappointed with this experience.

If you value your time and dignity, get your primary care physician to refer you elsewhere. I could not agree more with other reviewers and honestly, after seeing Dr Fillipone, it was comforting to hear that others had had the exact same experience which confirms my belief - it's not me, it's her. She didn't even bother to do a proper assessment on me. It was very clear from the moment that I walked in the door that she had less than no interest in treating me and I was but an easy $300 bill for her.Don't fund this woman's expensive dinner parties. See an ENT who will treat you with respect.

Would not recommend her. I’ve had to do all of my appointments over the phone because of Covid. She called me an HOUR early for a phone appointment today. It was a private number and she left no message to say it was her so I had no idea who had called me. She didn’t even bother trying to call me for my SCHEDULED appointment time. So I had to call the office myself, but they don’t answer phone calls on Friday’s. I now have to call back on Monday to schedule another appointment and I’ve wasted so much of my time today.

After reading the reviews posted on here, I was a little worried.. all for nothing. I found Dr. Filippone to be very straightforward. She told me what exactly was going on, and there was no fluffing around. I found her pleasant and she listened when I spoke. I've been to see her twice and on both occasions she was warm, welcoming and as talkative as a specialist has time for. This is what professionalism means.

I had a procedure done and the experience was excellent. I don’t know why the bad reviews. The office and examination room were spotless. The Receptionist was very friendly. And Dr. Filippone was kind polite and a true Professional. I would highly recommend her.

While I have no complaints about her bedside manner, and the procedure went smoothly, I was dismayed when my appointment to have the tubes removed was cancelled, with no reschedule. Her office was then closed for 2 weeks leaving me hanging. I had to scramble to find someone to do it.

It’s taken me over 6 months to just get into contact with Dr. Filippone’s office. I was referred out of North Bay in September, never received any contact from her and have not once been able to get through to her office. It was easier for me to book an appointment in my home town, wait the 7 month wait list and Drive 10 hours for the appointment.

Love Danielle. She is very reassuring and informative. She has a calming effect when speaking to you.
