I have been a patient in this medical practice for more than 10 years. My experience in this office was pleasant whenever me and my family book an appointment. However, lately we noticed that front desk are lacking compassion and customer service towards patients inquiry and other question. I have called inquiring and the receptionist was trying to rush me on the phone and was rude. Are they not happy with their job? Why are you rude to patients who are already suffering/sick? Lately, we have received a mass email from the office as well about respect to their employees and we felt bad about what is stated in the email. But after experiencing how rude the tone of the receptionist, no wonder people are triggered by this. I hope the management of Wilson Medical Group will conduct a proper seminar in customer service. Front desk, you are not in a call centre job you are working at a medical office - YOUR COMPASSION, CARE AND PROFESSIONALISM IS WHAT PEOPLE ARE SEEKING FOR WHEN THEY CALL IN YOUR OFFICE! I hope you don't ruin the reputation of your good doctors there.

I called earlier to know if my test results are back because our family doctor told me to call or email me but i didn't get anything and its been a month now, that I thought I might gave them wrong email or they mistyped my email.SO THIS RECEPTIONIST THE BLACK LADY, ANSWERED MY CALL AND FROM THE START SHE WAS RUDE AND SOUNDS LIKE SHE DIDN'T WANT TO BE THERE (FYI, IF YOU DON'T LIKE YOUR JOB! THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE WHO WANTS YOUR POSITION!)so I told her if she can resend me the test results because i didn't get anything and she said I can't do that". I told her if she can tell my Dr. to resend the test and again she said "I can't"

I’ve been a patient at this clinic for over 17 years. No issues with my family doctor, but most of the receptionists at this clinic really seem like they hate their jobs. No manners, no professionalism whatsoever. Every time I call, I am answered with attitude (recently spoke with Cassandra and she was so dismissive even after I disclosed sensitive information about my pregnancy). They act like they are doing you a favour, instead of being the empathetic medical field workers they’re expected to be. Management really needs to consider re-training these workers on customer/patient service or replacing some of them because they will lose a lot of patients if this continues. I’m seriously considering changing family doctors just for this reason alone.

The Doctors here are great. But yesterday, I received a letter from them saying that it has come to their attention that I am receiving services from other family physicians and they get billed by OHIP when seeing others.I don’t recall going to any other physician. I’m only seeing my family doctor and my OB Gyne which I had referral from my her.So I called to clarify as I am afraid that somebody else is using my health card number. The receptionist told me that I did a phone consultation on a specific date which I do not recall calling anybody. I am very well on that day. She can’t help me further like she don’t care, it’s my problem not theirs. I ask who should I contact, she said she don’t know. The way she talk is not appropriate with her job. She has no interest.

Sorry for this comment’s length but context is important and promise it’s relevant. Also, no I don’t work in the medical field or some paid bot. Just a concerned nobody.Firstly, it’s quite disappointing to read some of these comments. I’ve been going to this clinic for over 25 years since I was a little girl and have had incredible care from my family physician and now my daughter sees her too. In addition to my family doctor, I’ve seen 3 other physicians from this office and was referred to a specialist at mount Sinai who are ALL fantastic. My physical AND mental health are at the best state they’ve ever been partly because of the care received from these doctors and the staff who support them. Having that said, I’m not saying these complaints aren’t valid or true, however if these accounts were thoroughly investigated, I can assure you there are many more layers to the story than what’s said here. Also, I don’t care how angry you are, a review using someone’s race to identify a person and done in such a derogatory fashion loses all its credibility. That was completely unnecessary and unbecoming- do better.I just spoke to a receptionist at Wilson Medical Group a few minutes ago who was thorough, kind and professional. I told her my concerns and asked whether they warranted an appointment to which she thought it was best to book a phone consult to rule out any risks. Overall, the call was quick and to the point. I’m not sure what others expect from a medical receptionist but I got the care I needed.I know many of these ladies on a first name basis and received nothing but care and willingness to go the extra mile. Was I put on hold sometimes for long periods? Sure, but I also understand info needed from a doctor may not be received immediately since they’re seeing other parients. Did I ever have to wait a month for an appointment to see my doctor? Yes, but this isn’t an issue only happening at this clinic.The next part is political and I apologize but it’s relevant and needs to be addressed.Perhaps some of us are unaware of what’s happening but we’re dealing with a healthcare crisis that’s been exasperated no thanks to the current provincial government. They FAILED our nurses, doctors, medical support but most of all they failed us, the general public. Instead of complaining about how your receptionist at your doctor’s office doesn’t give good ‘customer service’ (more on that later) perhaps think about WHY. Our health care system has been short of nurses and doctors for a long time with many nurses walking away from the profession due to the Ford Government’s inability to pay them a fair wage despite them boasting about a surplus for the next six years. These people work tirelessly to ensure patients’ basic needs are met and they are struggling to keep up. As a result, reception/support staff are working more to help nurses and doctors with admin tasks so your doctor can help more patients. Does this mean they’re perfect and never make mistakes? Absolutely not. But they’re still human. So before you feel the need to write comments with little insight, please take the time to understand what’s truly happening. You may not care and it may not be ‘your problem’ but now you know who you can complain to. Storm the Ford governments inboxes with your concerns. Money talks and they definitely have the money that WE CITIZENS gave them (through taxes) to fix this mess.Final note, it’s time to stop thinking about our medical community as customer service reps or these omnipotent beings capable of fixing your every problem. This isn’t an isolated event only occurring at Wilson Medical Group so moving to another doctors office won’t always necessarily fix your issues. Contact the Premier. Make Ford and his constituents work for the $14,000 raises they generously gave themselves this year. They are responsible for this mess NOT the support staff at Wilson Medical Group.

I feel that over Covid and since Wilson Medical Group has shown incredibly poor service to their patients. They were never available and never left me feeling that they felt any empathy. I have been a patient for over 20 years and never felt this way before. I am now considering leaving the practice with very bad feelings.

I’m speechless… this clinic humiliated me ..They not only read my private results at the desk infront of a line and wait room of people when I asked them not to but they disrespected me so badly. This clinic is full of receptionists that hate thier jobs. I’ve been a Paitent here for many years and it didn’t use to be like this. They have mistreated me so badly I hesitate to call and ask to see my doctor now because I fear of what they will say to me.. will it be yelling this time? Or more humiliation? Maybe swearing or just plain attitude….. I’m so frustrated because the doctors clearly know that these clerks are ruining the practice and don’t do anything about it. Unfortunately I’m moving on to a different practice after many years because of this. Save yourself the pain and headache .. DONT GO HERE!!!! 0 STARS

I have been a patient of this clinic for over 15 years. They are very helpful and often, if there's an emergency and I call at a reasonable time, the secretaries put me in that day. One thing to know is that they are NOT a walk in clinic. I find that I don't have to wait too long when I get there. 15 mins at the most on a bad day.

It's been great for almost 7 years now. I have no complains. I really appreciate my family doctor and she's been taking good care of my family. Keep in mind it's not a walk in clinic, so you can't just walk in and expect a doctor to see you right away. You must register first and that's only if there's a doctor available who's accepting new clients. So call and ask if they're accepting new clients before you go in. Wait time is reasonable if you're a patient and you've booked an appointment. I haven't looked for another family doctor because I'm satisfied with the one I have now. I also enjoy talking to the ladies at the front desk and non of them has ever discussed my medical results on the phone with me. They always call and inform me that the doctor wants to see me and to book an appointment. I won't know what's on my test results until I see the doctor. All in all I enjoy being a patient here.
