We have not been to Barque in several years. Our return was for our son’s grade 8 grad celebration. Everything was still great after all these years. The details the staff goes to. Prepping the kid menu food quickly. Answering any questions about the food. Offering recommendations. Keeping things light and causal. We also liked that the restaurant uses the no tip system and takes care of their staff. We ordered the meat sampler for 4 and everything was excellent. Brisket, ribs, pulled pork, chicken and sausage. It certainly was a reminder about this gem on Roncy. It’s not somewhere we would go all the time, but for a family special occasion it checked all the boxes.

Haven’t been here in 10 years.Amazing service, incredible smell, lots of children and delicious pancakes with smoked duck.Also, big thank you to the owners of this establishment for paying their staff good wage instead of playing victim and shifting that responsibility to customers by the means of tips. You are true leaders!

BBQ smoke meat restaurant on Roncesvalle.We had BBQ pork chop and an half rack of beef rib and roasted carrot and broccoli for two of us. The portion is generous and we got full no space for the dessert after. Will come back again!

Being a BBQ location, this place was a bit fancy and high-end with a good vibe.The price for a half pound of brisket or a half rack of ribs was $30+, which seemed to be quite pricey. Yet, it turned out to be including service fee. So, don't be surprised by the price on the menu.I ordered a half pound of brisket (flat cuts). They were very tender, cooked perfectly. The smoke ring was clear and the flavor was good too.A small nit: I personally feel that the fat cap could be trimmed a bit more.I highly recommend this place, and would like to try their ribs some day.

Barque is a solid bbq joint that’s always busy. I’ve been a few times with my better half and highly recommend the sampler for two. The meats are mostly great, brisket was good and the Cajun Pimento Mac and Cheese was delicious.The staff are warm and friendly and bring a good vibe. They also get paid full wages which a few folks have already mentioned.Overall, I’d highly recommend and will be back again.

Really great meal here on Monday. Kids eat free and our 16 month old loved the fries brisket and ice cream!! Still dreaming about the Mac and Cheese and Ribs. Cornbread also amazing. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

SO GOOD. We got the brisket, chopped pork and mac and cheese, and they all paired very well. The meat is very flavourful and tender, I found the chopped pork to be slightly oily but it was still very yummy. The mac and cheese is a must, it has a slight spice and is a good palette cleanser for the meat. The restaurant is also very warm and ambient, and they play movies on the TV which you can watch if you happen to be bored. Also free cinnamon popcorn (so addicting) and sparkling water! In addition they pay all their workers a fair wage (so the prices are a bit higher on the menu, but you do not need to tip) and as a result the service is really good - everyone was very friendly and they even held the door for us on the way out! Also the man serving at the bar has nice eyes, so be wary of bringing your girlfriend. Overall this is a great spot to go if you just happen to be in the area, maybe after a trip to High Park. I will be Barque soon.

Amazing food quality and great service and very friendly staff. Interesting to see that the staff are paid full livable wage and they don't have to depend on tips, kudos to management for this.
