YMCA Round Street Early Learning and Child Care Centre

Wildly unprofessional. We received a call from YMCA Round Street Early Learning back at the end of February 2022. “Hi” they said “you’ve been on our wait list for child care for the last 2 years, are you still in need of child care?”“Actually, yes!” We said, “this has worked out wonderfully! I’ve just been offered a new position at my work, and my hours will change soon! Let me find out when I’ll start and we’ll call you back and arrange things so that we can bring our children to you for daycare.”Just 2 days later my wife tells the manager there, “Yes, we’d like to start with you mid March, as soon as this new position starts.” The manager states that she’ll set things up and get back to us. We wait a week, hear nothing. My wife calls multiple times, trying to reach out the manager or assistant manager to find out what is happening, leaves messages, just trying to figure out if we’re going to be able to start taking our kids there. I call multiple times, looking for the same thing. No answer, no returned calls. Still now, almost a month later, we haven’t heard from anyone, received a voice message, nothing. I had to turn down the position, citing lack of child care because we’d stopped looking once it sounded like childcare was going to be taken care of. Really quite choked that nobody even bothered to let us know if it wasn’t going to work out. Thanks a lot YMCA!
