Hudson Procter Contracting

Hudson came out the same day we inquired and we recieved a very competitive quote on having our driveway graded and done with chips. On work day, they were here on time and got the job done as quickly as possible while taking a lot of care to ensure the work will last. We are really impressed with the companies work and will be using them again in the future for other jobs.

Very rapid response, excellent job of snow removal, super nice employees, more than reasonable rates. Would highly recommend, it's rare to find such a good company to deal with in today's world. If you're snowed in like I was, and a shovel just won't do the job, call them.

Disappointed for sure. Spent $$$$ to get our lawn reseeded after sewer installed, asked for additional parking pad to be installed and it’s falling apart. I’m not sure that they new what they were doing. Gravel that we paid for was pushed into the ditch, had to call another company to redo the lawn and the parking pad will need to be repaired as well. Several neighbours are also disappointed with the workmanship in their yards. Taking on too much and rushing to get the job done may have been a contributing factor.

We just had them out for a small excavator job. They were quick to reply, the technician was friendly and quick. I was really impressed with their competitive pricing. Would strongly recommend this company.

Hudson did a great job, cleared and levelled our lot. I am quite satisfied with the work done.

Unfortunately leaving a bad review.Had our some excavating work done on our house, the property was left in worse shape then it started in. Ground around the whole property was left completely uneven and concrete wash out was just left on the property. Making it impossible to landscape and restore to normal without further excavating...Other complaints would be damage to the house's exterior walls and foundation from lack of care, with numerous chunks taken out of both. Other miscellaneous damage, in general poor communication, and crew/staff was very young (teenagers).Hudson never came and reviewed the work of his crew or went over the finished job with us. Weeks after completion still had to call and call to try and get a final invoice and photos for insurance purposes.

This company was so awful that it started to feel like someone was playing a joke on us. If you want to maintain your sanity for a job you need done, and if you need that job done well, then do not use Hudson. We had to phone him twice to remind him to come give us an estimate -- he initially told us he would be by the next day and instead it took two weeks. In retrospect, that should have been when we went with a different contractor. He never sent me an official estimate and we had to, again, phone him twice to follow up about when he would be coming to do the job. His employee, a young summer student, was fantastic and fit us in when Hudson failed to schedule our job. The employee ended up being the only reason we continued working with this company. However, at the end they left a mountain of fill and garbage in our yard. I contacted him to ask him to come take it away and he replied immediately with a You bet!" It's now been seven months since they left that pile and they still haven't come."

We hired Hudson to build a rock retaining wall & prepare the surrounding area for paving stones. Hudson was very easy to work with, very accommodating. He even did extra work that was not part of the original estimate and did not charge for it. The results are fabulous. Rates are reasonable as well.

Hudson has modern equipment with an articulating arm that enabled him to stack the rocks better and faster than most contractors. He listens to what we wanted and gave suggestions -unlike some contractors that tell you how they will do the job. I highly recommend this company.

I highly recommend Hudson and his crew! The retaining wall in my backyard collapsed and they took on the job without hesitation and made fixing it look easy. I couldn’t be happier with the finished product. Solid company!
