Malpeque Oyster Barn
Great! My husband and I went tonight on the advice of a local and boy was it good advice. I've never been a fan of either oysters or mussels, but these are out of this world good. Clearly I've just never had the right oysters and mussels until Malpeque Bay! Top notch service, too.

This place was recommended by a local guide, and I'm so glad we tried it!Every dish that was ordered at our table was delicious, including the rhubarb crumble!Oysters were also amazing!Small place, so give them a call to make sure they have availability.

Malpeque Oyster Barn
With only six or seven small tables available, we were luck to get a table right away as the place soon filled up. If you have questions about oysters, muscles, clams quahogs and the like, this is the place where the live and breathe the stuff. Mapeque Bay has the best oysters hands down anywhere in the world and you'll get the best of them served here at the Oyster Barn. Fish cakes were delicious. Fish taco and scallops very nice too. Kids menu available for those too young to take down a fresh oyster.

Small resto near the oyster fishing location! Great service too! We tried all fresh and tasty food: a dozen of their raw small oysters, pan-fried oysters, mussels and fish taco! Their rhubarb crumble pie is yummy too!

Malpeque Oyster Barn
My spouse and I were visiting from Toronto and stayed at NB for a day and a half. We drove 2 hours to PEI in hopes that this restaurant would be open as we really wanted to try their oysters! Thank you for staying opened even on a statutory holiday! The oysters and little necks were fresh as hell, oh my gosh, probably the best in town. I didn’t give a full five stars as the waitress forgot to serve the second round of drinks to us (the restaurant wasn’t busy so, not sure what the mix up was).

I can't say enough good things about this place. The raw oysters and clams were fresh and meaty, with just enough of a briny taste to make you want more. My haddock was cooked to perfection, and my wife's lobster roll was tender and meaty. Small place with just enough atmosphere to make you smile. Expect to pay a little more but the food is well worth it.John

We were really lucky to get a table when someone didn't show up for their reso. Great place to go if you're in the area and good atmosphere. The oysters were fresh and delicious. The portion sizes on the mains were quite small for the price (only six small scallops on the scallop platter). The potato salad was delicious but the po boy sandwich was more slaw and hot dog sized bun than fried oysters. The carrot cake was unbelievable- actually one of the best desserts I've ever had.

Hint - make a reservation early, especially on weekends! We were so lucky to be able to get a table for some oysters thanks to an incredible kindness from the staff there. It was our first time having oysters and we loved everything about Malpeque Oyster Barn!

My favorite dining experience during our 3-day trip to PEI. Well worth the (beautiful) drive! By far the freshest/cleanest oysters we had all trip and the lightly fried oysters were spectacular. The mussels were also incredibly memorable - nice light flavoring and very fresh. Can’t speak highly enough about the Oyster Barn!
