LIV Apartments

I just signed a lease with LIV with Sydney as our leasing agent - and it has been an amazing experience!As someone who has moved a lot due to university, I have a ton of experience leasing apartments and this was by far the best. I felt fully and consistently supported by Sydney who answered all of my questions and concerns, ensured I was able to virtually view my unit as I am currently living 5 hours away from Ottawa, helped me fill out my paper work, and made sure I was able to get my desired parking arrangement.Sydney was not only incredibly supportive, but she was very patient and understanding as I took some time to get her the paperwork due to being on vacation. She was also always incredibly responsive and never left me feeling nervous or anxious about the process!My only reason for 4/5 stars is that I have yet to move in, so my experience is solely reflecting signing the lease and coordinating with Sydney, but I will update my review once I move in and have a fuller experience with LIV.Thank you so much Sydney!

Had a great experience with Dale! He showed us around the units that were available and was very genuine, welcoming and generous with his time. We were very keen on renting a unit in the building. The amenitites are amazing, the units were gorgeous, but we weren't sold on the neighbourhood unfortunately. Not a con per say, but do your research. Photos attached are of the Byron and Gladstone suites. very night, high end furnishings, and balconies! Loved the windows! If you fit the criteria, you'll love the LIV apartments. Sadly, they just weren't perfect for us.

Cleaning & concierge staff are absolutely lovely! Wish I could say the same for their management/overall living standards. They shut off AC until they deem it's hot enough to turn back on, their amenities(including the dog pad) are not usable during the winter even if you're injured and can't make it all the way downstairs at midnight! Lovely!Lastly, our upstairs neighbour had been allowing his dog to relieve himself on his balcony which unfortunately, trickled on to ourselves & belongings almost everyday for 5 months. Building management was aware of this but neglected to do anything until we got legal involved. They are brutal.

The LIV Ottawa Apartment is amazing! We moved in last week and everything has been as we expected and even better. We've been in contact with Catherine from the very beginning. She sent us the application and all the required documents and she helped us through the whole rental process. As we were coming from Sweden, we couldn't see the building in person and Catherine sent us well taken and high quality pictures from the unit. Her emails were prompt and detailed and we really appreciate all her helps. After our arrival we met Emily and George and they both were great helps too. We bought and paid in advance for PH1 almost $800 for 4 nighrs. We received no keys to enter or for parking. When we came, there was no parking spot available. The door was close as you need a key to enter! Staff was very friendly and helpfull, but there was lack of information and simple schema for entance into parking of finding elevators. No signs either. The place was very clean, but not very organized. The desigh of appartment was not good. Near the bed only right night table, sink space is little. Lack of many things, no salt, pepper, sugar, oil, towel paper, two cofee only. No shampoo, no dish soap.Electric plugs are located the most inconvenient ways, no USB. Very little information about room, entrance to the parking lot was hard to find, as it said the alarm would start

My experience with the LIV Ottawa team has been top notch. The whole staff, but especially Catherine Renaud and Angela Laidlaw, were extremely helpful in showing me around and answering all of my questions about LIV during my apartment hunt. It was clear they loved their job and took pride in the building they were showing.And what a building! This place is out of this world! Gorgeous rooftop lounge / clubhouse with a pool table, comfy couches and tables, huge tvs, and don't forget the outdoor BBQ & hottubs (plural!). Downstairs is a business centre and a large theatre room where residents often watch sports games or movies together. They are a very pet friendly building, allowing cats and dogs (not sure about other animals). They have pet sitting / playing / walking /grooming services.Speaking of services, they have a LIV local program that partners with local shops like Pressed and Seed to Sausage and Pub Italia that provide discounts to residents. LIV also offers housekeeping, laundry, valet, and delivery receipt services. I'm sure I'm missing some in this list.Honestly, I feel like I'm living at a resort.A few specifics about my experience:1. I flew in from Yellowknife, NWT, and had to do a lot of my initial communication by email. The LIV team was quick to respond to all of my queries. We were able to go from the showing to signing the lease in a week, and most of that was waiting for the criminal records check. LIV (and CLV group) was flexible in letting me move in ahead of the first of the month.2. I started my job (the reason I moved) basically right away. The concierge team at the building have made it possible for me to make a great impression at work, as I don't have to take time off to supervise deliveries. One of the services this building offers is a 24hr concierge / security team that are available to help with all your needs. So when I have a furniture delivery, or Bell hookup, I can simply email the concierge team with written permission to let these technicians into my suite. It's AMAZINGLY convenient, and has honestly taken a lot of stress off my life.3. On move in day I came to my suite and found that it had a ribbon on the door welcoming me home, the fridge was stocked with a few staples, and the LIV team had left single use laundry and dish detergent along with a few paper plates, cutlery and cups. What a nice touch!This is a long review, I know. I could go on and on, and I've only been here for a week! The residents and staff are fantastic and very helpful, the amenities are out of this world, and frankly: the price is great.You should live here.I've attached pictures of my 1-bedroom suite facing west.

Room was clean, beds were comfortable, front desk is very friendly. Was not impressed with their handling of the leak in the ceiling of our room, two days before checking out (no offer to move us, or compensate for the impact it had on our stay). However I would still recommend LIV apartments if you’re looking for accommodations for an extended stay.

Generally speaking, This is a really nice home if they don't forcefully evict you from your old parking spot (even if you’ve never said you want to stop renting). And when they ask you to move your car, the management team has really good (prison guards) attitude.
