Paul Davis Halifax

The people I experienced with Paul Davis company impressed me with their professional approach and the ability to perform the job needed. They arrived at the job when they stated they would. I would recommend them highly.

Called twice on Saturday and left a voicemail as I had water pouring through my kitchen ceiling. The website claims 30 minutes call back 2 hours site visit. This is Monday still never heard anything back from Paul Davis.Update: now 8 days - no callback. However, found someone to do the work.

I called 3 times asking for an estimate, and they don’t even bother calling me back to book a visit. Maybe they don’t need clients?

Paul Davis came to remediate my basement after we had a flood this winter. A lady on the phone has told us she thinks they might have been returned to someone else.In light of 1000s of dollars of lost or stolen items that were in the care of Paul Davis, and the absolute lack of communication from them now that they have been made aware of the problem I'm going to have to go with 1 star, and caution anyone to beware of dealing with them. They are either grossly incompetent, or have thieves working for them.

Unprofessional and dishonest. They restored my house after a flood. Removed the wet insulation during the clean up and during the rebuild phase fail to put the insulation back inside the exterior wall. When I expose the mistake, they denied it at first and when I provided pictures as proof they accused me of harassment. Adding that I was violating Paul Davis rule by being on the work site to take pictures ( the work site is MY own house). After informing the insurance company of the issues they ended up letting Paul Davis go and gave me a cheque of the remaining claim balance to finish the restoration myself.I cannot recommend this clean up restoration company. If you don’t believe me and have to do business with them have your Paul Davis project manager list is job description to you by email. You will soon find out that they hired third party contractors to do the job for them and at no point any personal from Paul Davis come at your house to ensure that any of the work as been done correctly. They only spend the money given by the insurance claim on your behalf and don’t care about the quality of the work done.

Definitely Recommend!!! They work in my home during Covid19 with all precautions and they did wonderful job in my living room including new flooring!! Specially thanks to Mr.Austin and Andrew

Initially hired this company through my insurance and then fired them. Had a flood resulting in water covering my basement floor under the subfloor. They didn’t make any attempt to remove the water. Just set up fans and dehumidifiers emptying into garbage cans for 5 weeks. I had garbage cans with smelly slimy standing water in my basement. And so it was pretty balmy as reflected in my electric bill which increased by 500$ . And because it was hot and wet…Mold grew, and grew and grew. I own a small house so not a very lucrative job. I felt they were neglectful especially given I stressed that my daughter had asthma triggered by dust and mold. Now the project has been delayed as I need to hire a mold company to come in to assess.Would definitely NOT recommend.

Waited 2 weeks to simply get a call back and an estimate. Was told multiple times someone would call to schedule an assessment. Emailed, called a total of 6 times and still no reply or call back! Extremely unresponsive and unprofessional.
