Butter tarts are expensive and not very good. No butter flavor and very bland. I went here based on reviews. Those people must have only had supermarket buttertarts. The filling is very bland. Pastry is stiff. 6/$18. Only good thing is they aren't very sweet. These are nothing close to home made. Sweet Oven has the best butter tarts. Would not recommend at all. Ended up throwing them out. Not even my kids would eat them. Went to Barrie to get Sweet Oven butter tarts the following week. Cheaper and the best tasting.

The butter tart Tour. The crust was nice but the filling had nothing in them. No pecans in the pecan tart no walnuts in the walnut tart. They just tasted like they were all plain. Very stingy.The woman was enforcing rules about limiting people in the store (we were the second household" in the store) whilest not even having her mask on properly."

Lakefield Bakery On Queen
Every year we vacation in the area and there hasn’t been a bakery here for awhile. We were so happy to see a new bakery open in 2018. We had their cinnamon bun and it was really good. They also sell Pilot coffee which is one of our faves. You can also buy their beans to take home. Aside from sweets, you can also buy bread here.

Forgot to take pictures but we had the personal cherry pie and cinnamon bun(loaf).The cinnamon bun (loaf) was incredible, I loved it! The bread was so good, icing was so good, just have nothing bad to say at all!My gf had the personal cherry pie and, while I can’t vouch as I don’t like cherry, she quite enjoyed it.Service was great, prices were okay but, quality was good so cannot complain.Definitely stop in here if you’re in Lakefield!!

Theresa Kimmerer and her staff went above and beyond to cater a variety of delectable sandwiches and desserts for a lunch event.All of the guests were impressed. However, the highest recommendation came from Sophie, my three-year-old granddaughter who delightfully declared: ''Yummy in my tummy!"

Everything looks scrumptious, because it is! You only live once, so try everything!The Hello Dolly is huge and probably the best one I've ever had in my entire life, and I get them at every single bakery I visit!The Portuguese Custard Tarts, brownies, and croissants are also incredibly delicious!

The sandwiches were excellent and so fresh. I was going to bring lunch to our daughter and family at their trailer. Found this bakery and emailed them on Monday (closed). Answered and took my order via email. They were fantastic! In Lakefield? You must stop!

We regularly order lunch from the bakery for our events - they are a staff favourite! Everything we have ordered - from sandwiches to sweet treats - has been wonderful. For our latest employee lunch, the bakery staff took the time to individually package and label everything. We very much appreciate their attention to detail and care. We highly recommend, well, everything.

Lakefield Bakery On Queen
Made a visit to Lakefield on Saturday and stopped at this Bakery. The girls serving us were very accommodating and super kind. The goodies we bought were so delicious and baked to perfection. We will definitely stop here again the next time we visit Lakefield.
