Pets at Home Loughton

My cavapoo had a grass seed stuck in his ear and cheryl and amena were absolutely fantastic, they explained the procedure very well, cheryl was reassuring and i felt my Miko was in secure safe hands. My cavapoo was registered at palmerston vets initially(would not reccomend) thankyou so much Cheryl and Amena, very professional and knowledgable.

We visit this pets at home regularly and have recently been noticing an improvement in their care standards for the animals on the shop floor. Paper based bedding and large suitable exercise wheels to name a few. We went in today wanting to see if there were any adoptable hamsters available and was met by Millie. Millie was so passionate about providing great and well researched information on caring for these animals and as a result we had such a positive experience. Millie showed us the two available hamsters and explained their personalities and backstories to us, which helped us make our decision. We ended up adopting Toffee, who has been burrowing, digging in her sand and running miles on her wheel since we brought her home. Thank you Millie for your help today, you’re amazing!

I implore you to think twice before bringing your dog to this groom room. We’ve been using this groom since my cockapoo has been a pup and he used to love going for grooms and was a happy anxiety free dog going in. However after a few grooms they said they refused to cut his nails because he was biting and not letting anyone touch his paws. We were very confused because we never heard this before. They always had a complaint about his behaviour. One particular appointment we received a call after 15 mins saying that we had to collect him since he was being aggressive and snapping. This is not like my dog at all. It was so upsetting that I thought there was something wrong with my dog and had to take him to the vet. The vet clarified that he was okay and they weren’t sure why the groomers refused to groom him as he let the vet clip his nails. I’m certain they have hurt my dog because then he would refuse to go in after this incident when in the past he would stroll in and not look back. We took him to the groom room in Camden and didn’t mention what had happened at the Loughton branch and at the end of the groom the groomer told us how lovely our dog was and when we asked if he was aggressive at all they looked confused. We’ve tried a couple of other private groomers too and no one has had any problems with grooming him in fact praising him for how much he enjoyed being groomed.We will not be taking my dog back to the Loughton groomers ever again. I definitely think the groomers are untrained in handling dogs and certain they must have hurt him since he now refuses to even step foot in the PetAtHome there too.

this pets at home is the best one I have ever been into. The staff are knowledgeable and will advise you on safe and unsafe items and have a genuine care for the animals. I have spoken to two workers in there (one guy with very dark hair and a lady with long blonde hair) both of them care about the animals well-being in their new homes . I have never had an unpleasant experience in this store.

Alex that works in pets at home at the tills is the most friendliest, nicest staff member ever. She is so lovely and sweet. No one like her. customer service skills go untouched! if only more people like alex that worked in pets at home! thank you for your amazing energy in the store and helping me with finding what i need. can’t thank you enough.

Took my dog in today for her regular groom, and I can't thank these girls enough. My dog is quite nervous, but the lovely staff always take the time to settle her in. She comes home looking and smelling beatiful, and the girls are great at advising me on how to keep my dogs coat healthy between grooms. Thank you, we wouldn't go anywhere else.
