I would highly recommend this Japanese restaurant to anyone looking for an incredible dining experience. As for the food, it was outstanding. The sushi was fresh and expertly prepared. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, the the Japanese staff were attentive and friendly!

New upscale Japanese restaurant in Richmond near the Olympic Oval.The interior and atmosphere is well done and you can tell that they spent a lot of time and money on this part.Service was friendly and welcoming.The food was amazing! We were able to try the 8 piece nigiri platter, sayori tempura (no need for tempura sauce), toromachi, the madai (sliced really thin and was very delicate and refreshing), salmon aburi oshizushi, the sweet miso black cod (melt in your mouth) and the matcha crème brulee (intense matcha flavour).Everything was delicious and the fresh and it was nice to sit at the bar to see how everything was prepared.Will definitely be returning as this is close to where I live and I am glad there is another good option for Japanese food nearby.

We went here for the first time and we want to come back already. The vibe brings you back to Japan. The food was amazing! We liked everything we ordered. Our favourite was their uni blue fin rice bowl. It was heaven!! Another must try to the eggplant uni , surf&turf roll and hamachi. The server was very friendly as well. Highly recommend!

I gave it two stars only because of the food presentation and the ambience of this place. Other than that I feel ashamed to bring my friends here from out of town to try our Japanese restaurant in BC. I already read a lot of reviews that this place is pricey which I already expected but I was expecting some high quality sashimi. And also was expecting the server would emphasize just like some reviews said that their fish are so fresh and came from Tokyo last night.We came here for lunch and I ordered half of a Blackthroat sea perch which they made it a 3 course - soup, sashimi and nigiri. It tasted alright but the portion was really small. About 5 nigiri and 5 sashimi. I was not provided a bigger spoon to split the soup which was frustrating (see photo). And also a full order of salmon sashimi is not a dozen....it's only 4 pieces. Next is uni on eggplant. I was told that we would get 3 pieces of uni on each eggplant but it turned out to be super tiny and also it's a bad idea on eggplant as it overpowers the flavor of the uni. The most disappointing item was the blue fin tuna sashimi. I was told by the server that the ootoro (fatty tuna) would melt in your mouth so I was looking forward to showcase this sashimi to my friends how good they are after all the disappointment. I also had those before in Japan and other restaurants before so I know how good they are supposed to be. But I can't believe I was choked on the tendon inside the ootoro. This is totally unacceptable!I have to say this is my worst experience with so called fine dining japanese cuisine. And then the aburi sushi came last, at that point I was already so disappointed with the food. The aburi sushi tasted good but it was too late already. So the bill was close to $400 without tips. I would definitely not come back and would not recommend this place.

Travel here from NYC. I’m surprised by this place. Their menu covers all Japanese dishes I like. I have to say their food is so great with high quality and super freshness. I tried different types of Japanese cuisine in one place. I was stuffed at that dinner. Will definitely come back to this restaurant if I get chance to travel here next time.

Went there for lunch. Waaaaaaaay overpriced for mediocre food. Ex. Got 4 kinds of sashimi for $40, and they give us salmon, tuna, hamachi, and ebi. Staff lacked knowledge of the menu. Half the menu was unavailable. You have to provide better food selection and quality if you’re charging the price you charge.

The food was excellent but a bit pricey. You pay what you get. Fresh fish from Japan. If you order the whole fish, you get to choose sashimi, sushi, or half and half. They have a bunch of specialty dishes on their menu that you don't see on a typical Japanese restaurant.

Really nice destination for high quality Japanese cuisine and sushi! Trained Japanese sushi chefs creating some of the best in the city. Friendly staff and nice ambiance. The only downside is parking in the area is quite limited.

I absolutely love this Japanese restaurant! The food is incredibly delicious and the service is top-notch. Their fish is very fresh and the rice is also very tasty. The servers are also very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking to try some delicious Japanese cuisine, it's definitely a great choice!
