Edit:orginal review lost 3 stars. Had an unpleasant experience with the cashier (long blonde hair girl with white cap). Came here with a friend.The store opened a little late (they're supposed to be open at 4pm) and the cashier was not done setting up the front yet (already 4:15) which is fine to me but she did not acknowledge me or say that she was running a little late or say sorry for the wait.After she finished setting up, i ordered 2 chicken sandwiches ($8.99 each) one of them was a combo (+2.99) the combo comes with fries and a drink... i asked for their nestea and she charged me an extra $1 for it without telling me.When i brought it up that she may have charged me incorrectly, she said why? The nestea is an additional $1". She didn't let me know before charging me

This place is very close to my university. I often order their delivery when I stay at school during my final week at midnight, and I usually dine in there as well.I highly recommend the chicken wings, sweet potato fries and chicken sandwich. The chicken is very juicy and large. Compared to McDonald's chicken sandwich, this one definitely wins. For the flavours, I personally recommend SiChuan Spice and plum sweet sour.The service is also excellent, the cashier will bring you the food to your desk. The beautiful cashier with blond hair always smiles and brings me a good mood for the day, which is one of the reasons I always get there after finishing heavy work at school.

Ordered the Original Chicken Sandwich combo, chicken was crispy and juicy. The topping of the sandwich was a nice touch as opposed to just bun and chicken. Fries were hot and crispy, no complaints. I will be back!

Came here as a pitstop during our drunken night. We weren't sure what to make of this place but once ghe chicken burgers came out, we were blown away. They're juicy and delicious. We even thanked the cook before we left.

Got the chicken wings and popcorn chicken that my friends recommended, it was delicious! The staff working there were very friendly, and made sure that my order came out to my liking. Could not recommend this family business more, can never go wrong with supporting local! Will definitely come again! ◡̈

The chicken leg was yummy. Good spice and taste. This is my super favourite food for a weekend and I have it almost every week. Highly recommended place.

The lackluster service continued throughout the entire meal.The menu boasted a variety of dishes, but the quality did not live up to the descriptions.To make matters worse, the wait staff seemed to be inattentive and untrained.The ambiance of the restaurant was equally disappointing. The decor looked outdated and tired, and the lighting was uncomfortably dim. It felt more like a neglected space than a welcoming diningIn conclusion, my visit to Iron Rooster was a regrettable decision. The lack of quality in both the food and service, coupled with the unappealing ambiance, made for a wholly unsatisfying evening. I would strongly advise others to seek better dining options in the area

Raw chicken!I ordered the large fried chicken. It tasted great but almost a quarter of it was not cooked internally, just fried externally. I ate some thinking it was chicken fat, so now I’m waiting to find out if I’ve got food poisoning.

The foods are excellent. Especially the Sweet Sour and plum one. The price is no expensive, the food definitely worth it. I ordered delivery before, they are very thoughtful. They always cut holes on the box to keep the food crispy. I had dine in as well. The environment is good, and the service is great. The girl with golden hair is very nice. She gave very good recommendations. BEST FRIED CHICKEN ON SPADINA. WORTH TO TRY!
