Oceanfront Suites at Cowichan Bay

The perfect staycation. We really enjoyed the beautiful view. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The updated rooms are clean and bright. The pool and hot tub was clean and nice to see the ocean from. Added bonus of the sauna .Great location with lots to do. You can get great food from the Cook and Butcher, hit up the cow bay pub for a game of pool, breakfast at the Vine and ice cream and treats at udder guys. We will be coming back again for sure.

Who would have guessed at a little gem like this in a tiny little speck on the map like Cowichan Bay?! The hotel staff were delightful and helpful at every turn. Our room was a 2 bedroom suite on the ground level with a wonderful spot to sit and relax while enjoying the sights and sounds of marina life right outside our patio doors.The Cook & Butcher restaurant up on the 5th floor was incredible. We ate dinner there for 2 nights and it was great both times. The pool and hot tub were very clean, well maintained, and working" which seems to be a challenge at some hotels

I stayed at the Ocean front Suites at Cowichan Bay this past weekend as a solo traveller. I checked in at 7PM and was given room 206. Room 206 does not have an ocean view instead it has a view of this generator. The generator is, as expected, was noisy. I asked to be moved. The front desk said the hotel was fully booked and no other rooms available. I asked that that I be moved the following day which they said they would look into.My friends who checked in with me stayed on the 4th floor. They were checking out the next day. I had left my phone number with the front staff. I left early in the morning to work and when I returned I assumed they would have organized something for me. They did not. On Saturday I was told there were no rooms and they did not organize anything for me. That's it. No apology. No explanation. It was disappointing.In addition, there was no AC available in my room. When I called to ask about it they said it was in the room. It was not. My room had 2 fans. That's it. In addition, the curtains had 4 green paint like stains on it. The chair in the room looked as though there was dog drool on it. (I did not have a dog. Nor did I sit in the chair.)Needless to say, it was a disappointing stay.

The staff here really go above and beyond. Everyone is super friendly and they really welcomed our family and took care of our kids. I would highly recommend staying here. Beautiful setting and great hotel. We stayed in a newly renovated room, which was large and spacious, but even the non-renovated rooms were large and nice inside.

View from our room was amazing. Hotel is nice. Staff were accommodating if asked for something but not overly helpful or friendly. The room was clean and functional but nothing special and a little on the sparse side for amenities that one usually finds in a suite with a full kitchen. Overall, nothing special except the spectacular view.

Just had a wonderful stay at ocean Suites in Cowichan Bay. The room was lovely and the view of the Bay was incredible. Excellent hotel linens and towels. Bath robes were a bonus. Front desk staff was very helpful, especially Wendy and Dana, as well as the maintenance/Gardener. Would love to give a 5 star, but the bed was awful. Way to soft. Also the supply of dishes was limited but we managed to cook some nice meals.

This was an incredibly great location but our room wasn’t very clean. The manager was kind enough to show us a few rooms,other than the one we had been given on initial booking. That room had a very strong odour….she said it was because they just had a hockey team come through and she’d been airing out the room all day!( why she chose to give us this room still baffles us) we canceled that room to get another for a bit more money with a kitchen,great view but it sure wasn’t clean and both tvs were not hooked up to the service provider. Yikes!

We were fortunate enough to book one of the newly renovated rooms, which was excellent despite being sparsely furnished. But the hotel was roomy and clean, with lots of parking and a perfect location. The view is by far the best in the bay.

Absolutely perfect location on the bay - nearby restaurants are great, and there’s always a good view over the docks and the water! Some rooms are remodeled and very nice; others haven’t been touched yet, so they’re sort of from another era.

This place needs to review their customer service values.Run down for the price.Nothing exciting for the view.Update: business commented that they wanted specifics of their“customer service issue” trying to make me give them details. Email me! Don’t try and discredit my review!
