Asma did an outstanding job on my hair - I came in with roots and long hair that was dragging me down. She brought my hair back to life! She choose the perfect medium brown shade to cover my greys and gave me an amazing uplifting layered haircut with so much bounce and volume. I have a lot of hair and she took the time to blow it dry and give it a beautiful style. She was very patient and lovely to chat with. I would definitely recommend her and I will be returning! Naila is my go to! I will literally not let anyone else touch my hair but her. She listens to my requests and makes suggestions where needed. I value her expertise. She is clean and precise and always ensures she explains what shes doing. Not to mention she is such a genuine soul and fun to talk to. She really connects with you and wants to make sure your left feeling amazing. Totally recommend her! For reference, I have curly hair and it's been a struggle to find the right hair artist.

This place traumatized me! I decided to go here for a cut after work. Nalia, asked me what I wanted and I told her. She started to cut my hair and everything was fine at this point. A lady then came in and told Nalia how she messed up her hair cut. I didnt think too much of it at that point. She sat for her hair to be corrected. Nalia then came back to me and continued to cut my hair. I then started to notice her snips were not blending and there were chunks cut from my hair ! I told her that something was wrong and she brushed me off and said it was the layers. I thought to myself, maybe when it dries it will be fine and that she's a hair dresser so I'll listen to her but I've never had this problem in all my past cuts. I then went about my business and went to another store to shop. A stranger then approached me to let me know how my hair looked in the back! I then looked at the video she recorded and noticed the spot that I was telling her about looked even worse after it dried! I then called her to let her know that she messed up my hair and asked for her managers name. She said that they were layers and told me to come in tomorrow to talk to the manager. She never even offered to correct it! After this, I course went to another salon in panic to have it fixed because I had an event in the coming hours.The next morning, I went in to speak to the manager like the lady had told me to do. The only thing she had to say was she couldn't do the refund. I then asked for her bosses contact information, which was another manager. I called Kashif and disputed it on the phone for about 15 minutes. It seemed he wanted to aruge and didnt care how this impacted me. He refuses to do the refund because I went else where to have my hair corrected and that I should have come back that day. I explained to him that she never gave me the option to have it corrected when I called to complain 20 minutes after leaving. Plus, I would have declined if she offered. She had ruined my hair that bad. I was embarrassed when strangers approached me about my hair and recorded it to show me the back of my head! I'm disgusted that they can't admit their wrongs, apologize, and refund me my money back. Instead, they show the true character in their business.You should not be taking payments if you can't do the job!

i took my son here for a “trim”the lady cut off ALL of my sons hair , and it looked nothing like the photos i showed her.its choppy and uneven.my TWO YEAR OLD keeps telling me how much he hates his haircut.the “hair dresser” didnt gradually cut his hair, just chopped it all right off.when the hair cut was over she looked at my son and said “now you look like a real boy”it seems to me they hire anyone off the street.DO NOT GO HERE.

I've gone here to have my hair done by Naila for many years now. She's very good with my biracial curly hair. I've had cut, style and colour services done by her and I've left happy every time. She knows how to work with my hair so that it looks good whether I want to wear it naturally curly or straight. I've also benefited from some good product recommendations she's given.

I went there a couple of weeks as I received great service from Asma. I have a health issue so I can’t wash my own hair and so I went to get a wash and blow dry. Naila was the person who washed my hair but the shampoo residue was still there (she didn’t wash it properly) and she tried to blow dry my hair and I complained to her that the hair was still wet in the back - Naila ignored me!!! She has a bad attitude and doesn’t know how to treat her customer. She doesn’t deserve this job. Service was horrible and I will not attend again. I have been to many places and I received the worst service from Naila!!!

I was so impressed with Smart Style Hair Salon in Whitby. My hairstylist Asma was amazing! So kind and helpful, and she knew exactly what colour blond highlights I wanted. She also gave me a fresh haircut. I was so pleased, I highly recommend Asma. She is so talented and an expert at her work. She is also humble, friendly and easy to talk to. I will keep going to her from now on, and highly recommend her to everyone. I included a before photo (with my natural dark brown hair) and after photos.

My friend get her hair done there such a bad idea. I could not lie to her it’s that bad. I won’t be sending my daughters or anyone I know to go to this place I could not even do that to my ex gf if I’m going to give them the money for this definitely not going to this place I honestly think Art & Technique needs to bring them back to school.
