Edited review:This place is dope. When I first went on the opening week it was a bit lackluster and I didn't like the setting. Felt too little for the price. I think it is now up to par with all the other bouldering gyms in terms of setting quality and amenities, and with the Mile End location now open, I think it is an awesome value. It's also very family friendly

I love allez up and bouldering gyms in general, but I feel the rating that this particular gym has right now is way too high.Right now a day pass is 23.25$ which I find way too high for the services provided with this climbing gym. There is not a lot of climbs to do as it's a pretty small place and the services are limited. The gym is bare (just a pull up bar, one bench and free weights), no showers, no sauna. You can get all this at Café bloc or bloc shop for the same price with a lot more bouldering walls.I also find the climbs are super technical, with not much room for creativity for solving a climb. At other gyms I can always find multiple ways of completing a beta, whereas these ones feel like there's only one specific way to solve a beta.Lastly comes the pricing, a 10 punch pass is roughly 3.5$ less than if you were to buy a day pass 10 times. The passes come with access to both the Verdun and Pointe Sainte Charles gyms, which I find unnecessary and a rebate should be offered if you want access to only one of the gyms. I only do bouldering and the other gyms are too far from me to consider even going to them.

Getting to the point where I can do puzzles that are more technical and not just being able to brute force your way through which I'm loving. Genuinely enjoying this gym, other climbers are very encouraging at times and are really easy to get along with or talk to. Staff is always welcoming and available to help should you need it.Quick edit: parking is tough to find if you drive. The arena is available for parking for a fee. Otherwise, 2 minute walk from metro De L'Église.

A nice and very clean gym! Allez Up Verdun is a new bloc climbing spot with a nice wall size and a very modern aesthetic. The problems presented here are colour coded as oppose to conventional grading systems which encourages to try a variety of problems instead of focusing on going up grades. I definitely recommend anyone to visit but not necessarily as their main gym, as i see it more as a fancy small town gym rather than a large city gym. Part of this also comes from the affordable pricing and the communal shelf which provides essentials for free (plasters, tape, nail clipper, hair bands, ect.). Staff are very friendly and climbers very supportive of one another! Great spot all together!

Fun place to learn how to Boulder. Was my first time and was kindly greeted and explained how the venue works. Saw families and seasoned veterans all enjoying the courses without issue. Small cafe on the spot with snacks and beverages. Just missing lockers for people who don't wanna carry their valuables with them while they climb.

Good bouldering walls, clean facility, friendly staff. There are better options in Montreal (larger walls with negative pitch) however this place is well situated close to the metro. A yearly pass let's you climb at all Allez-up locations which is another perk. If google would let me, I'd happily rate in 4.5.

Underwhelming. Small gym, lack of training space, no training walls, most problems are boring and very easy to decipher. Damn pricey too. Allez Up Verdun is not worth it. Good location though!

A good place for technically minded climbers. Though I’ve never been a fan of colour only grading systems, they offer a decent variety of problems that force you to use good climbing techniques. Muscling through problems isn’t as possible here as other gyms in Montreal. My main issue is the colour grading systems span multiple V scales, and overlap, so it can be difficult to place yourself in terms of difficulty. However, it can help you forget about grading systems and just climb, which might be nice for some. The gym itself is clean, bathrooms are nice and the vibe is friendly enough. Not as encouraging as other gyms I’ve been too, but that might just be due to the particular crowd the time I went.

Great gym. Bit on the smaller side. Super clean place and friendly staff. Also unisex changing rooms and washrooms which is awesome.

Very nice bouldering gym, bigger than expected. Very nice neighborhood. Probably the sweetest and caring staff. The climbing routes vary from different styles/technical approaches.
