Was recommended Astara Windows by our neighbours who said they had a very good experience working with Steve and his crew.First off; Steve was extremely helpful and attentive during the quotation/consultation process. He took the time to go over all our options and carefully explained any questions or concerns we had. He is extremely knowledgeable in his field and his experience really shows when explaining the finer details of things.The installation process was smooth and I have absolutely no complaints there. Some of my friends that are in a similar line of work/trades were very impressed by the quality of work I was receiving on my windows. And they were also impressed by the cost of work considering it's high quality.To top it all off; Steve repaired and repainted the awning for our front door free of charge. He's also continued to share his knowledge and advice in regards to various other renovation projects that I'm doing at my house.Highly recommend Astara for the quality of work, communication, knowledge and the excellent pricing.

Steve is AWESOME. Not only was the quality of his work magnificent, (He has more of an eye for detail and perfection than even I do, and it is my house!) he goes above and beyond. I had some missed/poorly done spots from my previous renovation, and he just went ahead and fixed them all for me (he checked with me first of course) Steve was vey communicative about schedules and timing, very respectful of our space, and even had one of his guys keep our dog entertained the one day we could not get him daycare! You are in great hands with Steve.We originally planned to go with Renewal by Anderson, as we didn't know anything about windows, and are glad we switched. He was also MUCH cheaper (Saved us over 20 grand!) for a better quality job (we looked at some Anderson jobs afterwards).GO WITH STEVE OR DON'T DO YOUR WINDOWS!

Steve is meticulous, organized, and a pleasure to work with, from start to finish. He goes above and beyond to ensure you have an excellent experience.We had Steve replace all of our windows and a couple of our doors. From the beginning, he clearly and thoroughly explained our options and provided us with a fair price for the quality of his work. He was very honest in his recommendations and explanations. He has a keen eye for design (and formal training in design work) and is able to help guide you in selection for colours and styles (if you choose).Steve is physically on site supervising at all times during the installation. The windows were installed with incredible precision and attention to detail. He was always respectful and courteous. We completely trusted him and were impressed at the level of care and respect he gave to our home (and our pets!). He communicated everything to us in detail and kept us involved throughout the process and design. He was flexible with his scheduling and willing to accommodate our needs.During the installation process, he offered to do numerous other small unrelated improvements that were above and beyond. He left our home very neat and tidy after the installation process. The windows and doors are absolutely beautiful and made a huge difference to our home. We are so pleased with the quality of his work.At the end, he walked us through our home to ensure that we knew exactly how to operate our new windows and doors and is available for any questions or issues in the future (they also come with an excellent warranty). He even helped us pick out and get paint for our siding afterwards. I would highly recommend Steve to anyone looking to replace their windows/doors in the future!!

Steve and his staff at Astara Windows did an amazing job replacing our windows. From the estimate process, Steve was very kind and transparent in explaining the different options and their costs. Based on our feedback, he gave us very helpful suggestions so we could make the best decision for ourselves. When I asked for recommendations for a window and door company, our friends raved about their amazing experience with Astara. Our experience working with Steve and his team exceeded our expectations - which is impressive considering we went in with high expectations based on the referral. Steve's extensive experience and commitment to quality workmanship was evident from the first meeting right through to project completion, which included replacing about 26 windows and our front doors.A few of our windows were particularly challenging as we had rounded wood arches. Steve's team developed a customized solution for the frames that looks fabulous. The superb workmanship was matched with their reliable, friendly, service-focused approach to our project.Steve was extremely responsive, answering questions and explaining his process and recommended approaches every step of the way. We enjoyed having his team around the house while they worked, which is an added benefit when crews are working daily in your home. They kept the work areas clean, and tidied everything up at the end of each shift. Steve was also very helpful as we worked through the requirements for the available grant programs as we shifted to more energy-efficient windows. It was a pleasure working with Steve and his crew, and we have noticed the significant improvements in terms of window performance. Our close friends used Astara Windows in 2012 to update their doors and windowsduring a large renovation. They fully recommended Steve and always commented of his meticulous attention to detail during their renovation. We knew from our initialconsultation with Steve that we had the right guy for our window installation. We wereso impressed with his knowledge not only about windows, but his background in design,architecture and what was best suited for our home. Most importantly, we trusted him. We cancelled all other previously booked consultations with other window companies.Once we ordered our windows, Steve kept us apprised of the timeline and continued todiscuss finishing designs and options. From the moment Steve and his crew arrived, wewere impressed with the professional, neat and organized job site. All of our belongingswere very carefully put aside and their workspace was set up and remained meticulous throughout the installation.Steve routinely would show, explain and educate us on the installation process. Stevekept us informed each day of what was going to happen next and continued to provideoptions. As a result, we did modify some design specs with casings and other finishings.Having an older home, Steve took the time to consider what finishing would look best,even going to the effort of cutting various sample moulding sizes to let us have a firsthand look and to make informed decisions, all for the purpose of ensuring our happiness with the finished appearance. Steve noticed that some wood siding was in need of replacement and offered to fix it for us while the scaffolding was up. At the end of each work day, the site was tidy and there was not a speck of dust to be found. As a result, we were able to live normally while under construction.Steve’s crew was very thorough, professional and were true craftsmen. I had a goodconversation with one of Steve’s experienced installers. He spoke very highly of Steveas he had worked for Steve throughout the years. He told me that I would not find amore meticulous and customer oriented window company than Steve’s.We have had our new windows in for over a month now and we are beyond happy withthe final product. The finishing work inside and out is perfection. We have had family,neighbors and friends comment on the quality of Steve’s work. Steve’s attention to detailand perfectionism is very evident when looking at the finished job. It truly felt like Steve was working on his own home. Steve was recommended to us by our neighbour since they were extremely satisfied with his service and workmanship. We hired him to replace all our windows and a French door (over 2 jobs years apart). Steve is very polite, friendly and knowledgeable.- When deciding what type of window to replace (eg. awning vs casement), he really put a lot of thought into his suggestions - thinking long term, current and future usage, safety, as well as aesthetics.- He is more picky and meticulous about his own work than I am as the owner, and I'm a picky person.- very hard working and doesn't mind coming over to work on weekends and late into the night to finish things up- when shown some minor scratches on window screens, offered to replace the entire screen (I asked him to just touch up instead since it's really only a little dent/scratch)- great with email/phone follow ups- did a lot of extra work, provided extra materials for no charge- using his expertise in building envelope, spent a lot of extra time to provide me with advise on my house- years after the job, still patiently provides me with advise over the phone for a painting job that I'm about to start with another company.I really have to wonder how much money he really makes due to all the extra time and effort he spends on my home. Would highly recommend to my friends and family.

3 years ago I had kitchen an bathrooms renovation, it was a nightmare, kitchen is already falling apart, after such an awful experience I trusted my neighbour with her recommendation regarding changing my windows. I could not be more thankful for her suggestion, Steve and his team were amazing every step of the way, always on time, always respectful of our home space and on time for everything that was promised; he is a very detail oriented person and a perfectionist, everything has to work and look great and it does!, it is not 'just a job' for Steve, it really provides the whole experience.The team have worked together for years so they really work like a well oiled machine and my house was always clean. By the end of the job everything was perfectly clean, way beyong than I would have ever expected. Thank you Steve and team, I look forward to have you working on my next siding endevour next year!

Steve and his team did an amazing job installing windows and doors in our heritage house. Steve, owner of the company, is very dedicated and hard working. He takes the time to explain what he's doing, and the technology and materials he's using. I was amazed by how hard the team worked to fit the doors into our house, with the uneven walls and floors. At the end, everything looked perfect, and just how we wanted it!

Approx 5 years ago I met Steve when we were looking to start the process of replacing our windows. From the moment my wife and I met Steve on our initial consultation it was clear to us that his attention to details and thorough explanation of the process set him so far apart from his competition that we chose to go with him .Well here we are 5 years on and his company has replaced all our windows , doors and this summer painted our house .
