Absolutely abysmal service. I waited in line to register for two hours only to be told they were full. Why not tell us that earlier, or better yet, register patients online or over the phone? It appears they prioritize administrative cost savings over basic human decency.

Saw Dr. Kaushik for the second time in 5 years and he is still a fantastic practitioner. Always takes the time to understand and explain our issues carefully, despite the huge lineup of people behind us.Plus a great sense of humour! As others have said, come well before registration starts: there will be a long line already by that time.

This is not a criticism of the staff, but of the city of Ottawa. This clinic is disgustingly overbooked and employees clearly overworked. Someone else's skin flakes were all over the bed in the room I was to see a specialist in. He appeared so stressed and unhappy I honestly felt bad asking him to wipe it off.Nevermind the fact that I had an appointment for 0945, arrived at 0940, waited til 10, and saw 5+ people turned away from the walk-in service because the clinic was already fully booked for the day. Given the shortage of GPs in our city, this is completely depressing. This is absolutely not adequate healthcare for anyone, NOR IS IT safe working conditions for the employees of this clinic.

I’d give Dr. Kaushik 10 stars if I could. Unlike most walk-in clinic doctors he doesn’t rush and seems to genuinely care. Wait times are long, arrive early and just come back when they text you.

Ive been here twice now, and booked my appointments a week ahead. Since my first visit, the kiosk to check in couldn’t locate my appointment so i had to check in manually at the desk. The assistant/nurse was rude and kept telling me that i am an “out of country” patient and have no OHIP so my appointment isnt counted and I should register as a walk in.1. I have an OHIP and she was actually holding it.2. I have been in Canada for years now, so Im not sure why she is saying that im out of the country. Plus i was physically in front of her. Talking. She also mentioned that appointments can only be booked for allergy shots, pap tests etc. and that the rest should be walk ins. I am here because of a test results review (Appletree emailed that the doctor requested a review with me) hence I booked an appointment. It was also clearly stated in the email that you can book an appointment for this review. This tall brunette lady does not know what she’s saying and was being racist in my opinion. I don’t mind waiting despite having an appointment. But putting me as a walk in AND telling me I dont have OHIP AND I can’t book an appointment for a test result review was way absurd.Dr. Aneel however is a nice doctor. Nothing against him. Its just some of the nursing assistants.Words of advise. Just dont come here next time. Maybe try another Appletree branch. I had bad experiences with both visits, this recent one being worst

Drove 2.5 hours for a specialist appointment, only to have it cancelled 8 minutes before it was scheduled, as I was already staring at a closed clinic. They should have been opened for 2 hours before my appointment, so the fact that I was not notified immediately is completely unprofessional. It's disappointing that Appletree puts no effort into improving its services.

I visited this Appletree yesterday for a scheduled appointment to get my pension payback forms signed by Dr. Kaushik. He is a kind doctor and really seems to care about his patients. The staff at the clinic are friendly and professional. When filling out my info for my pension forms, proactively asked if I needed medicine refills or allergy testing and referred me to another doctor (not via Appletree).I walked in and checked in via the computer. My appointment time was at 1:30 but it was a while after 1:30pm until I was called up for my turn. In the end I left at 3pm sharp (1.5 hours).I will say, there was a lot of wait time in between someone assessing me vs. me waiting in my room alone. This was a Sunday afternoon and there were probably 7 others in the waiting room when I arrived before my scheduled appointment. My forms were 3-4 pages and cost $171. The staff member took my height and weight, blood pressure and did an eye exam and knee reflex as well as some basic body exercise movements.Dr. Kaushik examined my breathing, eyes, and checked to see if I had a hernia amongst other basic items. He looked through my forms carefully and wrote notes where appropriate. He said he’s done quite a few of these pension buyback forms already.

Dr.Aneel Kaushik was incredible! He’s quick, kind and personable. I see lots of reviews complaining about the wait; that’s not appletrees fault, y’all should be writing to Doug ford or your MPP asking them to fund public health more adequately instead of complaining on google. I got to the clinic at 8:10 on Saturday morning and waited outside the mall until 8:25 when it opened up. By the time it was 8:33, there was a line of approx 8 people, so get there early!

Do yourself a favour and show up 1.5 hours before registration opens (8:30am). I was fourth in line and left at 9:30am. Doctor and nurse were kind and helpful. Excellent walk in clinic just show up early otherwise you’ll waste your whole day waiting, it’s up to you.

The staff are doing their best under challenging circumstances, and I don’t blame them at all, however attending this clinic (and many others in the city) makes you realize how broken our healthcare system is.My advice: check their website the night before/morning of for the wait-time tool and hours (Google Maps hours are NOT accurate/up to date) and arrive as early as possible (aim for 1-1.5 hours before they open) in order to register before it fills up.When I was there on Tuesday morning, they were filled by 10 AM. Even if you do arrive before they open, prepare to wait at least 1-4 hours.
