Called ahead re a jamming issue with a rifle I own and owner saw me right away. Fixed the ejector problem on the spot and had me on my way. Really nice man. Will definitely bring any firearms I have issues with to him in the future and would have no hesitation in recommending him to others!

Owner's a really solid guy. Prices are very fair And he is knowledgeable. Can be a bit slow with the work though, as he usually seems swamped. He was always up front with me about it though when that was the case.Always happy with the work he does on my own and my friends stuff.

Sent a family heirloom 22 pump action rifle to Barry for an inspection/service to ensure safe trouble free operation for my kids to shoot. Took months for him to get to it. Upon receiving it back found he had ruined it by milling the receiver to accept scope rings, after looking at the work order he discovers that he confused this rifle for another. The mill work was so poor he had actually milled through the receiver, upon pointing that out he tells me he will make it right. Doubtfully leave it with him and get a call week later where he proudly shows me how he welded up the millwork and creocoated the receiver instead of bluing it. Rifle looks a complete mess, would you give your kids a welded up rifle to shoot? I was so embarrassed that I had trusted this man, I went out and bought my kids a new Ruger 10-22 to learn on. The pump action has never left the gun safe since, keep it as a reminder not to trust people that keep making excuses.

Fantastic service!I live about an hour and a half away from Barry’s shop in Delta. I called him up on a whim looking for a few 10/22 parts and to get help with what I though was a hopelessly stuck screw in an AYA SXS.Barry was accommodating and able to help me on the spot where the few other smiths I contacted required me to drop off my firearm, and stated anywhere from 2-6 weeks before they would look at it. He put a lot of effort in to that stuck screw and we both sighed with relief when it broke free.I picked up a Kickeez recoil while I was there and expressed I wished to do the job myself. Barry took the time to explain his best practise for installing recoil pads and told me how to best overcome the curved nature of my stock as well as showed me a shop made jig of his.I will deal with Barry again, not a matter of if but when. Cozy little shop and great conversation to be had.Thanks Barry.

Beautiful work, very fair pricing, great communication, honest, and did I say beautiful work! I've had some bad experiences elsewhere with both shoddy work and dishonest practice; but Barry was a breath of fresh air, and the only one I'll send my prized posessions to for refinishing from here on out. Deal with in confidence! I know I will!

Barry is one of the only guys that I can talk to, exchange no money or services, and still feel as if I was served. It's telling when a store owner actually convinces you to not purchase something when doing so would not be in your best interests.All-around, he is a fantastic guy to deal with, and I would look to him first if I ever did need anything done.

I recently called the owner and asked him if he'd be able to give me a second opinion on a problem I was having with my shotgun. I couldn't give him much notice because I had a ferry to catch but he told me to come on over. He checked out my gun and even fired some rounds through it to see how it cycled and then told me exactly what I needed to get fixed. When I asked him what I owed him he told me not to worry about it. He seems like a very competent gunsmith and a very nice guy.

Barry's a funny guy who knows what he's doing. I brought in a muzzle brake I had foolishly attempted to time/index myself. I needed it removed. After a few basic attempts with a vise and wrench, he had to resort to heating it up and using a special breaker bar designed to clamp into the action's locking lug Placing the muzzle brake into the vise he was able to break it free.Took about 20-25 minutes to finish the job, and he wouldn't even charge me for it. Good guy who knows what he's doing. Highly recommended.

Barry is awesome! I had an issue with my CZ Shadow 2 that caused the slide to get stuck. Everybody I called didn't have the time to look at it. Eventhough Barry was fully booked he was kind enough to let me come by. He had the slide working in about 10 seconds! So thankful! Great guy, great conversation! I will be back!
