Shoppers Drug Mart

I go here for my prescriptions and it's fine - it's a busy pharmacy and the service is okay. My issue is with the cosmetics department. Please, please tell your staff in cosmetics NOT to assume a person's age. I'm 53 and a staff member asked me if I was 65 yet. That's seriously insulting and it's happened to me at this Shoppers once before. Just don't ask. If a person is a senior and they want their discount, they will ask for it. No one wants to leave feeling offended. Never, ever should you assume someone's age.

Should really have more people working in pharmacy. It's not hard to fill a prescription, I've worked in pharmacy, it shouldn't take 30 mins - an hour... hire more people.

I have been a regular at this pharmacy since it opened. I don’t know if it is new ownership, or a new policy at Shoppers but customer service at the cash registers is horrible. I was there Saturday afternoon to pick up just a few items. When I got to the cash registers there were 7 people in line and only ONE of 3 cash registers open. In the past, if I remember correctly, they had a policy that if there were 3 people in line they would call for another staffer to open one of the two remaining cash registers.Unbelievably, there was one person dedicated to helping people scan and pack their items at the SELF SERVE area.That same person offered me and the person behind to take us over to the SELF SERVE. If I wanted self serve I would have gone there myself in the first place. Why was that person not assigned to one of the closed registers and let those choosing SELF SERVE, do exactly that?In the same area of the cash registers was a staffer moving carts and another nearby stocking shelves, so there was definitely enough help around. It seems that the ownership wants to teach customers to serve themselves so as to cut staff.Regardless, it took me over 15 minutes to cash out with only 6 items. I decided that if I go through this terrible service one more time I will be taking all my business, including prescriptions, to one of the many nearby options. This is totally unacceptable!

They are not my pharmacy but we're the only ones that had something I needed so my pharmacy transferred this item to theirs. Service on the phone and in person was prompt and efficient.While there I decided to treat myself to my favorite perfume. One sales lady said to buy separately certain items however another sales lady jumped in and said no we have the package deal which included all the items I wanted. She was very kind and didn't look down on me because I wasn't looking my best because I had had eye surgery and couldn't look my best yet. Those are the kind of people I like waiting on me unfortunately I did not catch her name but she is a sweetheart.

I called to notify the pharmacy that a drug for my daughter who needs a bone marrow transplant was billed incorrectly and should be billed to odb . The girl I spoke to was on Feb 14 at 1810. She was rude, tried to rush me off the phone , raised her voice at me told me is this all! She’s like just come in and we will figure it out it’s easier I said no it’s not easier last time this happen I sat in the store for an hour and a half I need the billing fixed as these medications are expensive they have to be billed through odb . I said I don’t get why you can just correct it now . She then said fine ! Put me on hold now I have been on hold 15 minutes . I am ready to switch to a smaller and more personal pharmacy .

Always some issue with the pharmacy at this Shoppers. Now their billing system has been down for like 5 days for some reason. C'mon, its 2023! Fix your system!Not to mention I've tried for the last 15 minutes to call them and their phones are busy. Really? Maybe you should get some more lines added...

Your customer service agent Wendy is nasty. She does not represent your store well. She lies about policies and when you correct her on her information as it is not what the receipt indicates she gets even nastier. You could do much better Shoppers. She should be reviewed

As of Jan. 1 2023 Pharmacists are able to prescribe medications to treat minor ailments. So I went to Shoppers where the Pharmacist was able to prescribe me the medication I needed, which was fantastic as I did not need to go to a clinic or ER on a Saturday.The Pharmacist went through the motions to prescribe the medication and then proceeded to inform me it would take 3+ hours to fill it...fortunately another Pharmacists was there and overheard him and informed him NO it would not take that long and he filled it right away for me.I have had multiple times where the wait was hours for medications to be filled here.

Absolutely do not use this pharmacy. Getting prescriptions filled is a nightmare. They don't communicate with the doctors office and have given the wrong scripts.I just moved here and figured shoppers was safe. I'll 10000% be looking for something better and safer. Messed up medications can cause life threatening problems. It's ridiculous they can't get it together at this location.

3 Days to fill a prescription for amoxicillin, ibuprofen Called them both days keep getting told tomorrow. Fingers crossed when it comes to my health, I guess. Literally at a loss for word... Will not BE Returning Sincerely hope i don't get an infection - scary needless experience for me
