Natures Hideaway Family Campground

The information and writeup about the sites is a bit misleading. In bold letters it states No air conditioners on 20 amp service". What they need to put in bold letters is the sentence before it that states it is a "20 amp service campground" but clarify that it is ONLY a 20 amp service campground and that there are NO 30 amp sites available. There is one site that was offered

Stayed long weekend. First time staying here. Site was ridiculously small and our view was 2 service buildings. Site not kept up and had to get a worker there to trim a tree branch just so we could extend our awning. Nice playground for kids. So many rules. Not many garbage cans around. Bathrooms are very poor and porta potties in some areas. Only 20 Amp so you cannot use ac but still pay a high daily rate. The only saving grace to the weekend is the river is very nice and shallow for the little kids to play in. Will not stay here again. Oh and cell connection is spotty at best.

Had an amazing weekend but the white fluffy stuff that came off the trees was a bit extensive. Washrooms with codes for paying customers so it's nice not to have to use an outdoor port a potty. We had a blast on the river floating down and jumping in for a swim. Always enjoy ourselves out there camping!!

The pictures speak of the beauty of this camping ground; but more importantly, it is run by the best owner and staff who go beyond the norm to ensure that their guests' experience is the very best available. My family and I had a wonderful relaxing May long weekend, until I realized that my cat bolted from our motorhome when we we leaving the campsite. Stacy and her staff went out of her way to help me find my beloved cat. She put up posters and allowed animal rescue and me to set up a comfort station and return daily. 5 days later, my wayward boy, Cairo was found! I think Stacy was as exited as me - a happy ending.Not only would I recommend Nature's Hideaway Family Campground highly to anyone considering a warm and relaxing getaway, but I would also consider them to be new friends.Enjoy your stay, and say hello from Cairo and me!

Checked in. ZERO STARS. My site was full of dog feces and the grounds unkempt. We couldn’t stay… was not at all what I expected. Asked for a refund, they respondedsaying “ I wish you would have come and spoken with the office to explain any issues with your site. We could have addressed any issues you had and tried to work with you to make sure everything was ok. As you did not communicate with the office, we can not verify what you saw. The yard workers did go to the site and they did not find any dog feces on that site. Unfortunately there will not be a refund as you did not communicate with the office while you were here so we could help you.”I have never left a campground on any of our travels before. This was a first. I am lucky I found a different campground an hour away on such short notice that was much cleaner. I really wish I had taken pictures before we left. UNBELIEVABLE!

I've been here a few times, and it wasn't bad. But this time, I was very disappointed. When I reserved a campsite, I was told the location 31 was still available, so I asked to get that spot (wrote it down on the reservations). On arrival, they gave us 74. When asked about why I have 74, they said they can't gatanty the site, but then proceeded to say site 31 was reserved for a while... Really?Plus, site 74 is a group site with 73. And the people acoupying site 73, must be new whis a camp trailer. Had their sanidump hose sitting on the ground, lower than the sewer connection, and didn't use a connector. They only stuff the hose in the pvc pipe. We complain about the smell, and they check it out but didn't do anything. We ended up stuffing paper towels around the hoses to eliminate the smell. Overall, it was not a good experience

One of the best campgrounds we've stayed at! The service is excellent - the staff is super friendly and helpful. They keep the campground nice and clean. Playground on site, very close to the river - it's been lots of fun for my family. During Canada Day they had a mariachi band by the water for everyone to enjoy & had plans to do a movie night at the park for the kiddos (but due to the bad weather it didn't happen).Full service sites are excellent! They also had showers and laundry service available.Would 100% recommend for everyone!

Beautiful location, poorly set upOur power and water was in the next campsite, we had to enter campsite from the one next to us as the entryway to ours had a stump in the way and a tree that was hanging over.There was no wheelchair ramp into the office,I had a hard time with the narrow stairs. The handicapped bathe was not bad, but hand rails around the toilet.Office staff was friendly, but groudsstaff looked right through, and never or said hello. Our site had plastic straw and other stuff lying around. Needless to say, we won't be going back

We have been coming here for quite some time. The girls in the office are absolutely amazing. They go above and beyond to accommodate. The golf cart men, are fantastic! Sites are clean facilities are clean.If the staff are busy they always make time for a quick hello or check in! I highly recommend this campground. Keep it up natures family!

The staff when we booked our group campground was accommodating and polite. The staff welcomed us with smile and polite during our check in. We stayed in Corral its spacious for 6 tents and vehicles. The kids had so much fun in the beach. The garbage man is very helpful and polite We are supposed to book for another camping days but unfortunately the staff whom I asked on July 2, 2023 @10am is not so nice and not helpful. She was rude,!
