Serenity Seniors Residence

After months of looking for a place for my aunt, we finally thought that we had found one. Our contact there told us that our aunt would need accessed, she is in Hamilton, so they arranged someone to stop by and access her. A few days later, our contact called us to say that we are good to go. We filled out all the information that they asked for and the day we were going to drop it off, we received a call from our contact saying that they cannot take her now as she needs too much care, because apparently she jumped the gun telling us that it was ok, as her boss said a hard no. Not very professional, and after the time it took to research this place, we were very disappointed. Turns out that there were other things that they were not completely honest to us about, such as the place is listed for sale, so getting kicked out can easily happen at this place. We decided to go to the other option in town and are very happy that we did. costs a tiny bit more, but there way more options for our aunt.

I would not trust these people with your loved one. They will say anything to you and lie to try to get you in. They are also actively trying to sell the place, so not a great option.

Frank and I have lived in Serenity for over seven years. we love living here, it is a homely atmosphere. We know every body by name, staff and residents. The food is good i.e. food that I would make at home. They accommodate my self and Frank’s diabetic and renal diet needs. We’ve had guest and family eat here. Fresh fruit and snacks are always available.Serenity is up for sale, it has been for over over 5 yeats. I am very proud to call Serenity my home. My family are pleased knowing that we are safe 24/7.The staff are very friendly and conscientious towards residents with aging difficulties, i.e. dementia and physical disabilitiesI like the fact that I don’t have to do any cleaning or cooking. I do my own washing, I am fussy when it comes to washing my clothes, Serenity will do it, for a small fee.Serenity supplies fee wi-fi, which is great, as I like Netflix, I think of myself as quite tech savvy. I also like the fact that Satellite T.V. is supplied for under $50.00, I was paying over $100.00 in my home.As Frank says we love living here
