This lumber yard is truly a hidden gem! By far the straightest lumber to choose from and always stocked. The knowledge behind the desk is very impressive.I can’t get enough of how much this family store cares about there clients. Really shows.good job!!!

I like to support local businesses and like this place until last time when buying a wood framing to my home project.I bought bulk of 2x2 wooden slats, from 6 only one was ok to used.From outside bulk was looking good even perfect but when i open them looks like garbage. Wooden slats was damage and cut on a corners. They tied them for purpose to sell scraps or buy cheap and resell?Of course you cannot return in this store.Same thing with 2x4x8, if I will not check before one guy on warehouse wants already put them in my car, I will end with bunch of wooden scrap garbage. All they pick for me was ragged and twisted.Big eyes on me when I start replacing them and trying to find good one which was very hard. Spend about 10 min.Sorry to say that but probably not anymore buying wood from this place.

Just discovered this place. There’s not many lumber yards anymore. I had a specific need for certain lumber that the big boxes didn’t have. Cooksville did and the price was competitive too!There’s a built in hardware store that has large selection and some unique stuff too.To top it off, the service was great. Called ahead to check stock and they were happy to help and understand the specific lumber I needed, then confirmed stock.They don’t make stores like this anymore and it’s a shame. Happy to find it.

Pina was so helpful and went beyond to help me. i was arriving to the store after closing and she accommodated me so easily and with a positive attitude the whole time. she was extremely helpful and they have great prices!

I always enjoy my trips to Cooksville Lumber. Pina has next level knowledge and patience. She spent some time with me showing me all the different types of wood they have. As well as which wood works best for different projects and what nominal measurements are.
