We live in a 1929 brick house with a 1975 or so wrap around addition with siding on a crawl space. The addition was freezing cold and the older section could not keep heat in. Ritchies gave us a thorough estimate and was very honest about time lines. When they did arrive the crew got right down to business and spent three days in crawl spaces and attics I don’t know how anyone could access. Already our house is holding our cool air in and heat out, but also is soooo quiet! ( We live near London health sciences) The crew worked hard with great professionalism and was very thorough. We can’t say enough about the company and their people. Yes they are busy, but excellent companies always are! Highly recommend them.

I have to say these guys have the best values! I had them come to give me an estimate and they gave me an honest opinion, some ideas and helped me save money! I would definitely recomend giving Ritchie's a call as they are honest and have small town values!

Steve and his team did an amazing work with insulating an old house. Attic, crawl space, and exterior walls were done. They were on time, worked efficiently, and cleaned up. As a bonus they even dealt with a neighbour. I highly recommend.

Great work and workers were very polite and listened to our questions and concerns. We are an older couple with a old house built in 1950’s. Needed lots of insulation, not sure there was any between the brick and walls...as the young man put it ...”your house is very thirsty “! Good way of putting it. Was a huge job and on one of the coldest days there has been so far. They said, no worries as they were use to it. My only complaint, if there is one ...is now I am too warm, which my husband found humorous. I can dispense with the sweatshirts and go back to short sleeves without adjusting the thermostat constantly. Great job “RITCHIE’S thanks so much for getting the job done and checking for any debris left behind so our 7month old puppy doesn’t find it later. Paul & Pam Brisco (London, Ontario)

Great experience dealing directly with the owners. On my first meeting with Murray, he took the time to listen to all my concerns and needs. Right after, Murray devoted some time doing a thorough inspection, and advise us on how to solve the problem.Richie’s Insulation team do place high importance on every single project, regardless of the size of the project. They are very professional and don’t leave until the customer is 100% satisfied. Richie’s Insulation crew treat customer’s property with respect and they complete a thorough clean up at the end of each day.We are very happy with all the work that they did in our house. After completion of work, a Union Gas / Enbridge’s Contractor Company – Energy Werx Inc. visited our property and did an inspection / assessment of the work done by Richie’s and the results were satisfactory and rate our house as new in terms of energy efficient (our property is 60 years old) and the saving on the utility bills dropped dramatically as well.We highly recommend this company, and we will repeat business with them for future projects. Also, a huge shout-out to Andrew for going the extra mile and insulated the frame of the two doors of our sunroom. Andrew you are very detail oriented, with terrific customer skills and your professionalism is truly inspirational.Thank You!Sincerely,Andres Camero835 Berkshire Dr.London On.

We had Ritchies out to insulate our exterior walls and attic. They were on time, professional and overall a great value. The two workers we had out were fantastic and clearly knew what they were doing. They were very polite and did a great job cleaning up afterwards. The difference in home comfort is night and day, our walls are quiet and the house is warm. Would highly recommend Ritchies to anyone looking for a non invasive insulation install.

I got the PU foam installed at my place and the two workers who came by to perform the job showed up on time, and were courteous and respectful. Andrew was great about answering a couple of last-minute questions I had (the day of!). I would definitely call them again, if I decide to insulate further. For now, the crawl space under my kitchen sink seems to be insulated better, and in turn, my kitchen is not so cold and drafty.

I have a circa 1895 -1900, 2 1/2 story century+ home that Richie's first insulated the brick wall cavities about 16 years ago, followed by spray foam insulation for the basement walls and crawl space about 5 years ago.(That's only after have first having a long conversation with Murray and Andrew at a home show booth, followed by Murray's onsite inspection and quoting a year or two later.)Being an analytical type I tracked my natural gas energy consumption afterwards for a number of years, using the science technique of calculated degree day measurement for London. The result was about a 30% fuel saving from the cellulose application which has been compounding each year since, and will be continuing forever!I don't recall the savings for the basement and crawl space applications in the past five years, but may revisit doing so at some time when the inclination strikes. To the present. After a great deal of consideration given to preserving my original wood sash windows covered with aluminum storms my current energy project is reluctantly replacing the original wood windows with new, vinyl replacements, while still keeping and even improving much of the historical nature of the home. Some people will find that is an oxymoronic approach, even sacrileges. Yet properly performing such window restoration work oneself requires a vastly significant investment of personal time and energy, or finding a contractor specialized in such work is nigh on impossible and of great cost.I've tried both approaches so have been searching for a blended approach that is cost effective, energy efficient and historically sympathetic. Even that's time consuming and more expensive than a simple replacement approach as is quite common. In proceeding with the window project I again consulted with Andrew of Ritchie's today about whether insulating the weight and sash cord cavities was beneficial. His response was positive and to do so during the new window insulation by spray foaming into them, starting at the bottom and working up, drilling access holes as might be necessary in moving to the top of the cavity. That's a project I can do myself, or the window installer would typically perform. This short, most recent conversation with a solution illustrates the sound, professional insulation advice I've always received in every experience and touch point I've had with Ritchie's. They care about doing the best quality job on the project, using their knowledge and expertise on each unique property to plan and and fill each hidden area requiring insulation - everywhere.Granted, their lead time to a smaller project can be many months out. There's a good reason for that, and it's the superlative quality they apply to each and every situation, from quoting to completion, and even a subsequent touch-up that might became necessary.Ritchie's are outstanding, perhaps even the best, in performing building insulation tasks, whatever the type and structure. A pleasure to deal with in every aspect.I have been recommending Ritchie's for years to anyone considering such work and I do so here, unreservedly.
