Makimono Ajax location was absolutely amazing! Their food was fresh and delicious! We had Vivian as our server and she was an absolute delight! We will definitely be returning! A special thanks to Vivian for making this experience an amazing one!

Makimono Japanese Restaurant
Had been coming here every week, sometimes twice a week, with my daughter bcz she likes the robots for a couple years. Always hit or miss. Food is mediocre. Staff is mediocre. A few weeks ago, my daughter had a large piece of plastic wrap in her sushi roll. I showed it to the server and she apologized and comped my daughter some free ice cream. Was there again and my daughter pulled a 3-4 inch bone out of her butchered salmon in her hand roll. I advised the server who immediately informed the manager. Manager offered to get her a new hand roll, which was nice but we were doing All You Could Eat, so really was no compensation for almost choking. I asked the manager if we could get her miso soup packed up instead as comp and she said no. I clarified that since my daughter could’ve choked on the bone, the soup was the least she could do. Again she refused. Bill came and they took a measly $5 off. Honestly would have left happier if they would’ve just given us the miso soup. They definitely do not value their customers and todays service made that abundantly clear.

Very nice experience! Yannie was our server and she made sure our drinks were full all throughout our lunch. The robot was very cool as well!

I must say I am so disgusted! We found a boiled cockroach in our food at the bottom of the plate. The manager said oh sorry and simply took the plate away. I had to ask for my money back! I do not recommend this location. I have also contacted public health and filed a complaint to further investigate

Makimono Japanese Restaurant
This is my favourite place to come to eat with my family and friends. The food is always incredible and the staff are amazing too. The waitress, Vivian is kind, fast and remembers her customers, it’s a pleasure to be served by her. They also have fun robots that bring food right to the table and talk to you. Such a welcoming restaurant, and they have party rooms perfect for birthdays or work events!
