Trafalgar Oaks Child Care

We love this daycare! We took the not so scenic route to find our forever home at Trafalgar Oaks which makes us appreciate everything about it all the more.The facility, the leadership and the quality of staff is just amazing. Our first born continues to thrive here and we are happily planning to enroll our youngest here as well.Initially I didn't like the idea of my baby spending so much of the day in lower level/basement and delayed my tour of the centre (got a spot when our child was moving to toddler room). As soon as I visited the facility and met with Sheila and the staff; I knew this was our place. Every classroom has floor to ceiling windows that let in tons of natural light and a ground level walkout straight to their age appropriate playground. The playground is another thing we loved about this centre; too often parents are faced with having to choose between the facility or the playground; Trafalgar Oaks offers us both and more!I felt the need to write up a review at this point because I know how parents may be feeling during these times and wanted to share our story in the hopes of calming some nerves. Everyone at the center has earned our love and trust for how they care and educate our child. I honestly didn't think I could appreciate them any more than I already did until COVID hit. Throughout this ever changing situation the centre has done a wonderful job of adapting and creating a safe environment for us to safely have our child reconnect with friends, teachers and his school routine. The centre continues to follow and even go above and beyond to keep themselves, the kids and their families safe.Trafalgar Oaks staff, we appreciate you more than ever and are so happy to have you as an extension to our parenting. Thank you so much and keep up the great work!

I cannot say enough how happy I am with Trafalgar Oaks and their care for my son. I was hesitant to enroll my son in any daycare as he demonstrated a separation anxiety from early age. He began part-time at Trafalgar Oaks and after only 2 weeks, he was happily walking into his class and giving hugs to his teachers and going to play with his new friends. No tears and only smiles! He also naps happily now, which he almost never did before starting at Trafalgar Oaks! Their management, teachers and staff are all truly caring and compassionate people who put both my son and I at ease when he is at this care center. The teachers in his class are a great team, always very happy, friendly, and positive. They also have great communication with each other and with me, a parent. At pick-up time, they always give me updates to my son's progress. I am happy with skills my son is learning including routines for going outside to play, sitting for snack/meals, and the language and music classes offered right in the classroom. Their facilities are safe, have spacious classrooms and outdoor play-yard, and are very clean. A wonderful childcare center!

My son has been going to Trafalgar Oaks for almost 8 months and I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the amazing staff for all the support, care and guidance they have been offering us from the very first day. Our previous experience with different daycare has not been very pleasant and now that we can compare I can confidently say that Trafalgar Oaks is fantastic! The staff is very professional and very caring at the same time, they go above and beyond to get to know your child and ensure that he feels at home while developing his skills. The other day, all 3 teachers spent almost two hours with me in a meeting where we discussed our observations and future strategies about my son’s development. I can praise them here for hours but I think you get the idea... They really do care.Oh and the place itself is also stunning, always clean and cozy with a backyard to each classroom with real grass and soil for kids to enjoy nature!Most importantly, my son really loves going there!

Thank you Trafalgar Oaks for the outstanding care! The teachers and other supporting staff are fantastic and genuinely care for every child. They did an amazing job at transitioning our kids, making them and us feel welcome from Day 1. Both classrooms and outdoor space are clean, entertaining and secure. Kids are genuinely happy every day they go there.

I am very proud to be one of the staff at Trafalgar Oaks. My friend told me Trafalgar Oaks is a famous and high evaluation center in Oakville. Now I understand more why people like our center. Not only because the high teaching quality and programs of diversity for children, but also the good relationship between professional teachers team and families. I love working at Trafalgar Oaks with our lovely children, families and professional team. I would like to recommend Trafalgar Oaks to my friends and also recommend to people who want their children being in a lovely childcare center.

We absolutely love Trafalgar Oaks! Our daughter has been attending for the past 6 months and our experience has been incredible. We had a difficult transition due to separation anxiety but the staff were so supportive and loving that I felt like I was leaving her with family and they were a huge help to me personally as well during that time. Now my daughter absolutely loves it there and I have a hard time getting her to leave at the end of the day to come home. I could not recommend this daycare enough.

Trafalgar Oaks Child Care provides a safe, loving and encouraging environment for my son. The teachers and other supporting staff genuinely care for my son and encourage him to gain confidence and independence while showing love and support. The classrooms and outdoor space are bright and inviting while maintaining privacy and security. I could not imagine my son being cared for in any other environment and would recommend this Centre for any parents seeking care for their children.

We recently moved to Oakville and I was fortunate enough to secure full time registration for both of my children at Trafalgar Oaks.The transition was seamless, thanks to the incredible staff. The staff at Trafalgar Oaks are calm, experienced, confident, caring and always have your children's best interest as priority. Their attention to detail, while working with my son's restricted diet, is comforting to both myself and my husband. I greatly appreciate their ability to communicate and keep us up to date on our children's development.Highly recommended!

My daughter has attended Trafalgar Oaks since she was 11 months old (she is now 3.5) and has moved through each of the programs (infant, toddler and pre-school) and we’ve been nothing short of amazed through each level of progression.The staff is the heart of this place and it’s like my Daugher has had surrogate mothers through each stage of the programs. They REALLY truly love all of the children and treat them with the same kindness and compassion as a loving parent would.Our daughter doesn’t just go to daycare and play all day... she has literally started her education at 11 months old when she first joined. She is far more advanced in her development vs my friends kids who attend other centres. I 100% attribute this to the quality of the programs at Trafalgar Oaks.The staff is very responsive and has excellent communication. We always know exactly what our daughter is eating, learning and even when there is a particular development milestone they’re working with her on. For example, recently my daughter has been ‘off’. She’s been super clingy, big tantrums, distracted and just not been herself. The lead teacher in her class reached out to me to share what she’s been observing and together we’ve worked closely over several weeks implementing adjustments to the routine and our approaches with my daughter in order to see positive results and it’s worked amazingly. It’s that level of ‘over and above’ caring that makes Trafalgar Oaks a gold standard in child care.They have led us through the current pandemic in a way that has made me feel safe, informed and organized. This has been done through ongoing and clear communication and updates. We’ve never felt in the dark or unsure about any of the protocols and I’ve never once been concerned for my daughters safety.I could keep going here listing all the wonderful things about the centre and the staff but I’ll end this review here. My wife and I have brought both of our boys to Trafalgar Oaks from the time they were each one years old. We chose Trafalgar Oaks from a recommendation from our friend who had her son enrolled in their program. Trafalgar Oaks is an incredible place that combines both play and education and assists with the development of children at every age. Both of our boys have seen rapid development in areas such as motor skills, language, social interaction and both are becoming out going happy kids. We are very happy with investment we have made with Trafalgar Oaks into our children and, highly recommend any parent that wants to give their children an advantage in learning and development before they enter a regular JK schooling program. The staff are caring and passionate about the work they do, and it shows every morning when both boys happily jump in to class excited for what the new day will bring.
