Foundry Simcoe

I would like to ask in general if this place is good, clean, tidy. The staff is friendly and always happy to help. I want to move in in January 2024, however I read more bad reviews than good reviews. Now I have doubts

Great room; private washroom is a big plus. Service speed with some more difficult repairs is sometime long. But overall, great stay

Awesome apartment buildings! Located right beside to both UOIT and Durham college and a short bus ride to groceries, shopping and attractions. Very friendly staff who are quick to respond to any issues that may arise and fun events are frequently hosted for the tenants.

I recently had the opportunity to live in the Foundry Simcoe Oshawa, and overall, I was quite satisfied with my experience. The building itself was well-maintained and modern, with plenty of amenities and features that made it a great place to live.One of the things that stood out to me about this building was the quality of the living spaces. My apartment was spacious and comfortable, with modern appliances and plenty of natural light. I also appreciated the fact that the building was well-insulated, which helped keep it quiet and comfortable even during colder months.The building also offered a number of amenities that were helpful for students. I also appreciated the fact that the building had plenty of security measures in place, which made me feel safe and secure throughout my stay.

Don't go here, there services are bad, I had to stay in an apartment that my room window was broken for 10 months, and I had to buy a portable heater to use for 10 months because of the cold coming through my window, I complained and the didn't do anything. Also the apartment heating systems dont work, its very cold during winters. The laundry machine have been bad since even before I moved it for more that a year, and the never repaired it. We had to always use something to keep the machine to work. I advice to get a better place. After five months of leaving the apartment, I was charged about 500 dollars for damages, and the damages the talked about was that the had to deep clean my room. Do I have to pay for you to clean up a room that a new person will take over. And who charges 500 dollars for cleaning. What the hell. Either way I agreed to pay when they decided to reduce the price. If you have any complaints they don't care. And the pay is not worth it. Get a better pplace to stay.

I had amazing experience with the maintenance team, with some problems on the Freeze. The tech Gary did a amazing job with cleaning and melt the ice inside the Freeze. Also give really good advice about the work and how to keep on good shape. Awesome guys.

Foundry Simcoe is the ideal choise for students attending Ontario tech university or Durham college: it only takes a 5 minutes walk to reach both. Also great location for going into downtown Oshawa, with a convenient stop present. The 5-bedroom townhouse has a great planimetry which ensure the right amount of space and privacy to each tenant. On the other hand it allows the right socialization among roommates. You can find all the necessary equipment in there. Comfort and practicality are guaranteed!

I’ve lived here since September 2020 and it’s a very good place to live in as a student. Staff are very nice and maintenance requests are very quick. The good thing is that the place is very affordable as a student.

Editing this review because clearly I was too nice. I stepped outside to pickup an order and got locked out with no roommates around. I called foundry by 8:25 pm (in the cold only wearing my pjs) for assistance on getting in and they kept saying someone will get to me. It’s literally been 45 mins and no one came. I called twice letting them know I was cold and it was an emergency yet no one came until my roommate came back. They honestly don’t care about their tenants. So disgusting! But Gary remains a sweet guy. Gary from the maintenance team was so sweet and fast. Called emergency for a plumbing / flood issue by 3:42 AM and was at my room by 3:59. Literally took care of everything swiftly and with great care!
