Master Mechanic Newmarket

Update April 25, 2023:I visited this location again today and spoke to Darryl to get my car checked out for the diminishing noise and Darryl gave a good explanation about my car condition therefore I would like to change my review from one star to five stars.Thank you to Darryl.I was at this Newmarket location for an oil change. I came in and talked to Darryl. While waiting, I asked Darryl if I could bring my second car for an oil change as well and he said it's okay and I continued waiting in the meantime. Darryl went somewhere. Then a lady called my name saying that my car is ready. In the process of paying my bill she mentioned that there were little leaks on my power steering and I asked her how the fluid level was still more than enough or above the minimum level? She said yes. So, I felt safe and drove home and came back with my second car. Again, I met the same lady and I told her I heard a squeaky noise when I turn my steering wheel and asked her a favor to tell the mechanic to spray some lubricant and she said yes.During the process of paying my bill, I asked her again if the mechanic has sprayed lubricant? She said that the mechanic didn't hear any noise and of course I believed her. After I finished paying my bill I went to my car and started my engine and turned my steering wheel and found out the noise was still there.As soon as I found out that what she said and told me wasn't true then I went home and sprayed lubricant myself.The next morning I checked my Camry power fluid myself and found out that the fluid level was below the minimum line and I took pictures of it.After these two experiences I kind of lost my trust in her, why? Because it's about car's mechanism and you work in a mechanic shop you must inform the truth about your customer's car condition because it involves safety.In the past I had no problem at all dealing with Darryl and Thanks to Darryl for informing me of my Camry's tire conditions and I had changed all 4 my Camry's tires.I think it is about time for me to look for another mechanic shop that I can trust and honestly tell me the actual condition of both cars.

Inspected vehicle, found worn tires, suggested to fix it before alignment, offered various options. Honest and professional service.

Excellent communication and fair price, they took the time to explain the quote and the repair details to us, we highly recommend them.

I was connected with the team at Newmarket Master Mechanic by head office due to an ongoing issue with a previous repair handled by another location. I was not an easy customer to deal with being very upset due to the circustances of the issue. They handled me very professionally. They also had great attention to detail and isolated the A/C problem I had and made it go away. That was the first time in 3 years my family and I could enjoy having A/C in our vehicle during sweltering hot days. Happy customer so far. I will be bringing my vehicles here on the go forward.UPDATE: nothing but a disaster this franchise is. The previous experience I was getting here was good because of a previous service desk employee named michael. He has now left and the service experience here has been atrocious. Two guys at the desk now are neither competent or service oriented. At this location, I have had my oil drain plug put back together improperly which led to my beautiful driveway being RUINED. They botched my winter tire order and made me wait an hour into my scheduled appointment, took old tires off my rims before someone realized they order the wrong tire size. Then before leaving and already very upset, one of the service guys suggested I owed them for an oil change that I never received. Omg. Stay away!

This is by far the best shop I've ever worked with. I was in the process of selling my truck. When the new owners came to pick it up, it started leaking rad fluid. Master Mechanic got me in right away and had it fixed in no time!They were friend, professional and did an excellent job on the repair!I would definitely recommend them to anyone and will be coming to them from now on!

Went to see the owner as the mechanic lied to my wife. I have dealt with this company with the previous owner. No issue. Now they scare my wife stating my tires had less tread then they actual had. Also stated all brakes really bad must be changed. Then I find out this is there go to. I have heard around town afterwards these guys are known for upselling brake jobs. My oil change cost over 1500.00. sad part is I was once a huge fan. Asked to speak to owner and wait to hear from him. Crickets

Honest mechanics are hard to come by these days, ones that will give you honest advice instead of compiling a massive, unnecessary quote. These guys do a great job and back up their work if needed. Friendly professional service, nice clean washroom, free coffee! 5 stars. My jeep (Frank Castle) will be back ^.^

Always get amazing service here and way cheaper than taking my car to the dealership! Dealership quoted me nearly $1500 and these guys fixed my car for around $200. Highly recommended!!!!
