Just had the worst customer service experience ever. Had my summer tires installed last week. The tech that installed them installed backwards causing excessive road noise. Went back to the shop to get the situation rectified, the manager came out and recognized the mistake. When I asked how this could happen? He aggressively responded do you want it fixed or not?Just great

I don’t normally write reviews, but today I had a customer experience with Kal Tire Cochrane AB that really needs to be shared. A bit of background first; six weeks ago, my wife’s car developed a vibration in the steering wheel which I suspected was a tyre balance issue. We’d bought the tyres from Kal Tire, so we returned the vehicle there for service. The service manager very nicely fit me in at that moment and got the tyres balanced. I thanked him for his assistance, but he responded by going off on a tangent about why more customers weren’t as satisfied as me. A female employee joined in the conversation, regaling me rather incongruously with horror stories about unreasonably dissatisfied customers, and I left the establishment feeling rather bemused. Unfortunately the balancing did not fix the problem. I returned the following week to advise that the vibration still remained and to see if I could book the car in. The lady on the desk abruptly told me that it could not be looked at that day, which I didn’t expect anyway, so I picked June 16 2023 instead, five weeks in advance, because we were travelling abroad for the interceding month, making the repair less vital and ensuring a spot for the service.Today, June 16, I returned for the mechanical appointment to be told by an extremely rude and apparently exhausted service manager that the car was booked in for another balancing and could not address any mechanicalIssues. He suggested that this was my fault for wrongly booking the car even though it was clearly the fault of the lady who had booked it in. I asked him why I would book a rebalancing when that clearly wasn’t the issue and that I required a mechanical inspection and likely repair. I was snottily told that the shop could not do it that day and I would have to rebook. I told him that I had made this appointment five weeks prior and that this was unacceptable. He began giving me very poor attitude and became argumentative. I pulled him up on his attitude and he replied, “Excuse me?” to which I replied, “No, I don’t think I will.” I told him we could restart this conversation, if he wanted my money, with an apology and we could deal with the issue, to which he issued the most sarcastic apology imaginable. The lady who’d originally made the booking error was on another desk within earshot and asked me to keep my voice down even though it wasn’t raised. I decided at that point that I could give my money to another shop and duly left, going to the excellent Fountain Tire in Crowfoot.It turns out that the vibration was caused by a damaged rear wheel which should have been detected, in my opinion, at the original balancing. Clearly, the vehicle was never test driven by Kal Tire to see if the rebalance had fixed the issue. Anyway, Fountain Tyre supplied and fitted a new wheel, a new set of tyres, and a did the brakes on my other car - significantly lucrative business that Kal Tire could have got if not for their weird intransigence.I will never seek service from this establishment again and I hope my review serves as a cautionary tale to others. Reading reviews of this business, it seems that strangely poor customer service is a common theme and I regret to have experienced it myself.

Got a nail in the front right tire driving into town. Dropped in, walked to Half Hitch for a sweet burger, walked back, tire was fixed, went on with my day. All fixed under warranty. Great service and great staff. I still think about that burger.

Great service, they fit me in in a very timely manner. Cost is fair. Brand new building, very clean. Had an alignment done, came out perfectly. Tons of parking.

I showed up on time for my scheduled appointment to get pre paid tires on and I've spent nearly 1500 hundred to wait an awful 25 min to watch a short Lil lady fidgeting around behind the desk n acted like she was doing something n guys in the garage pretending to do something behind the glass and no customer service for 25 min. Just kept walking back and fourth and ignoring me n 3 other customers.. I asked for a full refund and kal tire management gave me a hard time and I kept asking for a refund till I got it. All u had to do was take care of your customers and assist em right away.. instead they were arrogant and acted like the world was gonna end that day.... the end... anyone part 2??

Contract moved over to fountain tire. When you say, you want somebody’s business prove it. These guys didn’t even want to change a tire after 4 PM. Josh says hi and fountain has two service trucks on call 24 seven willing to stock tires.

Came out of the house yesterday morning to a flat tire. As a university student in the middle of final exams, this was not the added stress that I needed. I called Kal Tire to see if there was any way I could get it fixed that day, fully expecting to pay for the repair. Ryan was fantastic on the phone and said that he would squeeze me in between appointments before the end of the day. At the shop, it was a lady who helped me out (I’m sorry I didn’t grab the name) and she was also great. To my pleasant surprise, since I bought the tires from them, the repair was completely free, both of charge and hassle. The repair was done in under 3 hours and they did a great job. Thank you so much Kal Tire Cochrane for turning a rough morning into a sigh of relief. You’ve got a lifelong customer.

I noticed that I picked up a nail in my tire so I made an appointment to bring my car in to the Cochrane Kal Tire to get it repaired. I hadn't lost any pressure but I figured it was just a matter of time. It turned out that a fairly large screw had only penetrated the outer rubber but not past the steel belt so no air was being lost and it didn't require a repair. They didn't charge me anything for their work which was a pleasant surprise - we don't get many of those these days. The service was quick and courteous and I'd recommend them based on my experience.
