Lovely shop! As a woman who does not know much about cars, I know I can trust the work that is being done on my vehicle. I was told I needed my strut replaced by another place in town and was quoted nearly triple the price Larry gave me for the same job! Upon ordering the strut and going to fix it, he told me it was actually my axle that needed replacing (the other shop tried to rip me off). Within a few hours, he fixed the issue and did not charge me for my mistake regarding the strut. An honest, affordable, and quality mechanic!

Highly recommended! My car was completed at lightening speed, excellent customer service. As a person who doesn't know a lot about vehicles, I felt safe in knowing that I wasn't being overpriced or treated poorly.

These guys were pretty quick with this issues on my car. When I called a dealership to try and get a quote when I provided the codes was trying to pull teeth. I call promax and the first thing he ask when my oil was last changed which had been a few years , he thought that might have been the issue with my hybrid system and dirty sensors. Sure enough it cleared it right up and and everything costed maybe $10 more than what I would've had to pay at Toyota for just a diagnostic

The ProMax is awesome!!! Larry is so nice and great, he helped with my brake. My car used to shake a lot when braking the car, but after the inspection Larry suggested polished the disc. And it worked!! Definitely recommend this place.

We had a u joint fail while towing our boat up island, bringing our trip to a halt. We were recommended to Larry at Promax by another shop and gave him a call. 15 minutes later we rolled into his shop, they replaced the u joint and we were on our way. Amazing people and great service. Highly recommend the guys at Promax.

Pro max was recommended to me by a family friend and I was NOT disappointed. From the first conversation booking my appointment to drop off and pick up I was impressed. Larry greeted me on drop off, he listened to my concerns and I felt heard. As a woman this is not always my experience, so it was really welcome.I got my o2 sensor and knock sensor replaced, tires swapped and a general once over on my old wagon and a clean bill of health which is reassuring when as it is my daily commuter from Duncan to Nanaimo.Larry even went above and beyond when he fixed up the upholstery on the inside of my doors that was peeling.I would recommend ProMax to anyone in the area looking for a trustworthy and kind mechanic.Thank you for an excellent job well done.

Blew a serpentine belt just out of town on a road trip. Called around and a lot of shops were busy and couldn’t fit me in that day. Promax came through and got me in and on the road within a few hours. The guys at the shop were awesome, I was charged a super decent price, and overall they just went above and beyond with the whole situation. Wish I could find a shop like this closer to me. 10/10 recommend
