Starbucks and Timmies pale in comparison to il Caffe. Il Caffe staff are actually trained baristas in making quality coffee. I’m not a coffee guy, but can immediately tell the difference. Must try.

I popped in here one morning just to grab an iced latte with oat milk.. wow, such a simple place, but it was delicious and strong. From that one drink, I can tell they are very good at what they do. It's a chill, low key spot with a lot of indoor and outdoor seating around it. Don't walk past this place; go inside, and thank me later!

In a concrete jungle of Starbucks, second cup, artisanno, and Tim Hortons, it's a treasure hunt to find a quality cup of 'Joe'. When I first came here I had just came back from Italy, so I was looking for a genuine cappuccino, and not a large hot milk ( =p Starbucks). The owner was very knowledgeable and very good at his craft, he explained his beans, even offered a little biscotti to go with my drink. I have been going back ever since, and bringing friends too. I hope this locally grown small biz sticks around for a long time, this is definitely a quality over quantity" joint. Prices are in line with other shops and always service with a smile. Try the cheese scones very fluffy and filling."

Peaceful and delicious coffee place in downtown! The staff really kind and make incredible latte art! Coffee tastes mind, milk form was perfectly smooth!

Superb coffee at resonable prices. The owner is a true artisan and a precise technician. He even controls the temperature that the beans are ground at! One taste and you will experience the difference. Menu choices are varied. Summer favorite: affogato (ice cream drowned with espresso). Recent addiction: cortado - low temperature steamed milk cappuccino which has slight sweet taste. Their bakings: italian spiced (& spicy) cheese scone and the croissant are pure decadence.

I am so happy I found this place. The owner takes the time to walk through all the coffee he makes, made sure I picked the beans that suit my pour over style, and made me bags on the spot that I could take home.This place is getting me through my final exams and deserves every 5 star review it has received. Try the Guatemalan and Columbian roasts. Unreal.

Sullen unfriendly service. Staff is stressed and Coffee subpar. Shame because the location is great.

I've checked out a few roasters and coffee joints around Calgary and by far this is the only one worth talking about! None of this over roasted coffee these other hipsters are trying to push. This spot knows how to extract a good espresso. Highly recommend if you love your coffee with flavour.
