Working with Cassie for career coaching is one of the best decisions you will ever make. Before I started career coaching I felt unsure about which path was right for me career-wise and was also struggling with a lot of stress in my personal life. Not only did Cassie put in an enormous amount of effort to ensure that I was making progress in my career journey with each session, but she also took time to get to know me and made sure that I was personally doing okay. Even though I have completed my Career Exploration sessions with Cassie, her guidance does not stop there. She has helped to point me in the direction I need to go in so that I can pick between the two career options I landed on and has made herself (along with a network of her other mentees) available for unlimited support through her Success in Science Facebook group. As a current senior in college, in the fall I was plagued with the stressors of applying for jobs and classes in addition to trying to make the most out of my time left at school. Through working with Cassie, I was able to learn how to showcase my strengths and also gain confidence in my abilities and experiences. She is truly so positive, supportive, and uplifting, and takes off so much of the stress of job searching/applying, etc. I am so thankful that I was able to learn so many transferable skills including how to present myself, what to put in a resume, and how to answer difficult interview questions, among others, from her. I am so grateful for Cassie’s career coaching program. I went into the program with so much stress and uncertainty, and not even sure what I wanted out of my career anymore. By the time I was done I had not only found and accepted my dream job, I also felt confident about how to make it align with my personal values. For example, there is a ton of active learning involved. She’s very good at guiding people toward discoveries… there’s no lecturing; you as the client will actually be the one actively doing, thinking, speaking for most of the program, which is exactly the best way to learn. It’s empowering, memorable, and the best way to gain from the experience. I also felt it helped tailor everything to me and my specific circumstances which really helped me make the most out of it. Not only that, but every activity in the program was fun and engaging and I always had a great time.My job search timeline didn’t quite align with the program timeline, and Cassie did an amazing job tailoring the sessions on the fly to my specific situation. She was super helpful in guiding me through conversations and decisions that arose for me that weren’t even initially built into the program. This really speaks to her coaching skills!It’s also clear that Cassie put a lot of thought into making this program work for a diverse variety of people. Different people make decisions in different ways, value different things, and her program dives into that and explores it… I never felt like I had to push back against assumptions or expectations the way I’ve had to with others occasionally.As a person, Cassie is very easy to open up to and amazing at being supportive while discussing emotionally-charged or sensitive topics. On several occasions I was tearing up during the meeting while discussing things like the stress of the job search, but Cassie made such a safe welcoming space that I never felt uncomfortable.I have recommended Cassie’s career coaching to many people I know, at all different career stages. Cassie is amazing! I highly suggest her to anyone who wants a little clarity about what direction to go in in science. The whole experience was so insightful, and I am so happy that I did it.I first reached out to Cassie because I knew I wanted to get back into research after a three year hiatus from undergrad. I wasn't quite sure what direction I wanted to go in, and I really had no idea about the process of applying to graduate school. Cassie’s structured and exploratory approach really helped me realize what I personally valued in a career and taught me how to execute a plan to accomplish my goals.She does not tell you what you should do, but instead lets you come to those decisions on your own. Together, you really dig deep and come up with personal values that help guide you to your career choices.Her program is extremely organized and her exercises are so incredibly insightful and really helped me build professional skills that I will need in a future career. As a senior in high school, writing my personal statement for college applications is the most important paper I have been tasked with to this date. Due to Cassie being at my side throughout this process and assisting in every step from the outline, to the final tweaks, I am confident that my essay will grant me great opportunities in the future.With a strict time crunch of under 2 weeks to get in my applications, Cassie was able to dig deep within the aspects of my essay that needed to be revised and did it with no problem. Due to the limited amount of time available, Cassie made sure that the meetings we had were very informative and covered as much as possible in order for me to complete them on time. Some of the major things that stuck out to me were how prepared Cassie was for each situation we discussed in the essay, and how she would always provide positive feedback to sections of the statement that were the most developed.Her experience and dedication to me as a client really shone through within each meeting and I am beyond grateful for the time she provided me!
