St Thomas Elgin General Hospital

This is an outstanding, efficient, God send, of a healthcare community facility! I wish other hospital could use you as an example. Thank you so much for everything that was provided and in such a short time.. Compared to other hospitals!

Had a great experience with the entire hospital emergency department 2 times were speedy and great 5th floor nurses were so kind and caring and the urologists were quick too figure out and genuinely looked after me I appreciate being around such good health careMike luiting

Came in because of blood pressure fluctuating from high to low while being in my third trimester.. had headaches, chest pain and nausea.. when the ob doctor came in he told me to take Tylenol and go home because a headache isn't a reason to come in. He was condescending, arrogant and very rude. Proceeded to tell me that they don't deliver baby's here until 34 weeks so this isn't the right place to be..

My son was experiencing random seizures and he was admitted to hospital. My wife was there with him first and she was having a panic attack because my son was not doing very well. A security guard was there and comforted my wife she let her cry on her shoulder. We wish we got her name so we could thank her for being there when i could not be, but we do remember she had really cool hair & was absolutely fantastic.

Absolutely garbage, i had a lady in triage who was a complete inconsiderate angry lady - definitely should not be working in the hospital, not only that but i have been in “red” which is the quickest to see a dr and ive still be waiting after 2hr, no pain medication nothing AVOID THIS HOSPITAL AT ALL COSTS 0 STARS

My husband and I just had our third baby here. We have received the best support we have ever gotten. Everyone was supportive, kind, thorough and mad sure there was consent and understanding every step of the way.

Went to this Emerg Sunday Jan 15 2023. My tongue swelled up due to an allergic reaction....no waiting in line up in Emerg....taken care of immediately and then to ICU to spend the night. Very friendly and caring Doctors, Nurses. Im very impressed. Shout out to Dr. Stephanie Hintor as she offeres me a Nicotine patch cuz i smoke. Nurses were awesome on both shifts also. Thank you from my heart as i never expected this.

I rate this hospital a three I’ll explain why. I was in a car accident Sunday may 28 on the 401 near shedden Ontario it was choice between london or st Thomas hospital I got to meet beck and Susan to name a few of the amazing staff that treated me with kindness and dignity and the best health care possible it was a nice experience for the early morning service I received. To note I am not from the st Thomas area nor did I know this town existed. I was released and had to figure out how I would make it home to Toronto or to my destination moms house in Windsor. I tried to figure it out it was getting late and my resources were getting shorter and shorter as I had no friends or family in the area that could help me just to get out of st Thomas which basically has little to no public transportation. I went back to St Thomas Elgin general hospital at around 930 to ask if I could sit in the lobby til morning or be checked in because I was still in pain. I was meet with rude behaviour disdained looks and dismissive rhetoric. Not even a smile this woman wanted to turn my way. I explained my situation to the lady at the desk this night I had to provoke her into giving me any info as to where I could go so I wasn’t sitting outside in a place I don’t know. I am still a young female not addicted to drugs I’m not judging anyone here I’m just pointing out she quickly told me about “inn out of the cold” I am grateful for a place like this but it is still unfavourable to send vulnerable persons anywhere. The inhumanity I was met with from this lady put a bad taste in my mouth and I pray it had nothing to do with my skin colour as I’m a black young female…… shame on that emergency check in nurse I felt horrible as I had to walk in pain almost 2km to the inn the staff were nice and accommodating as possible and tried to keep me safe where they could grateful for Stegh morning staff and the inn for doing the most for an out of towner who was down on her luck

Ambulatory Pod 2 Pre- Admissions Clinic is HORRIBLY Run.High pitched awful noise. I feel sorry for the people that have to work with it it's like tinitis all day long ringing.Not enough chairs in waiting room.Why is the exit not available for use as it would be easier for seniors and patients with mobility issues.No cellular service. A transponder isn't that much money.
