Gateway to the North RV Park
We stayed one night on our way through and honestly wouldn't have wanted to stay longer. The park is well laid out, level sites with full hookups, immaculate washrooms, and very pleasant staff. It is located right on the highway so there is a fair bit of road noise, and it is also in line with one of the runways at the airport. Several times the planes were so close I could have offered the pilots a coffee! A few small trees are dotted here and there but there isn't really any privacy. But for what we wanted - just a place to stop for the night - it worked.

Nice place to stop, easy to get to. Wifi but is hard to use when everyone is up. Great at 3 am.

Snooty and unhelpful registration person. Park is more like parking at Walmart but on gravel. Some showers don't work and even at that it is one change room for two showers. Washroom facilities unseated. This was also the most expensive campground we found while in Newfoundland and this is towards the end of our trip. I do not recommend this campground to anyone.

A beautiful RV Park near loads of amenities in Deer Lake. Full services for a Great price. Close to Gros Morne National Park. The Newfoundland Insectarium is right across the road. Lovely place to camp.

Really friendly campground. Very accommodating. Nice place and if we ever get back that way we will stay there.

Gateway to the North RV Park
Conveniently located on highway to Northern Peninsula and Gros Morne Park, this park is an easy choice. All the amenities you expect. My only problem was being too close to that busy highway and traffic noise. Price is also inline with its perfect location.

sites were level, operators seem very nice. Had to find them office was closed period, open but not opened for business, lots not maintained, self check in, pick your own site, no info given. wash rooms toilets not cleaned for 2 days we stayed, out of paper towel for 2 days, toilets dirty for 2 days, good location for Viking trail but right on highway, lots of noise
