Transformer Table

Leaving this review for anyone who was like me and hesitant to buy furniture this expensive with so many negative reviews. Ordered a table, 4 chairs, a bench, and a coffee table during their Father’s Day sale on 6/18 and all items were delivered by 6/28 in one shipment (northern CA). I had reached out to their customer service about a week after placing the order to ask about some confusion I had on the tracking number with the third party delivery service and they responded immediately and were helpful. The third party delivery was on time and nice, so no problems there. Unboxing and putting together the items wasn’t as bad as I had thought. Very simple and the table required no assembly; the chairs and coffee table too the longest but wasn’t difficult. The quality itself is sturdy and heavy, but I will say the finish seems soft, like it would scratch and fade easily over time. I bought some beeswax polish to see if sealing it on a regular basis helps. Overall, I’m glad I took a chance and went ahead with this purchase.

Well to start it took 6 months to get the table we ordered in black. After back and forth with them for months it finally arrived. We then ordered the coffee table to store the leafs and it also came really late and was broken. You’d think for $1000 coffee table it would be packaged better. We are currently in the middle of getting broken pieces replaced. Will update on how long this takes.

Summary: shockingly deceiving marketing; table does not hold its shape (see pictures); terrible customer service with empty promises; and no effort from the company to correct flaws.MAJOR DELAYS. I reached out to T*** by msg and spoke to her by phone to discuss my interest in purchasing the transformer table “host”. My priority was to have a table in time for Thanksgiving 2022. I was considering three other options and committed to the TT as both T*** and the website stated that the table would arrive in time for the Thanksgiving holiday. T*** assured me that I would receive my table even sooner after she looked up my home address and verified inventory and shipping details. Our table did not arrive until *after* thanksgiving and I have yet to receive the chairs (it is January 2023). I would not have ordered the table if I knew it would be late. This delay is trivial relative to how poorly the product performs (next paragraph).POOR PRODUCT PERFORMANCE. Once we unpacked the table, we noticed a significant sag in the table top (see pictures). We have only three of the five panels in the table and there is a noticeable dip without any prior use. This observation leads me to believe that the product is not reliable/robust. What will happen when I have all five panels in place? What if I add several heavy serving platters? What if a guest leans on the table? The value and quality I expected of TT immediately diminished once we noticed this major flaw of engineering. The table does not hold its shape/strength when partially extended (it's worse when fully extended!). It is a major disappointment that I shared three times with TT customer service and they have completely ignored it. TT responded to other questions embedded in my email, but they did not acknowledge or advise on how to mitigate this major engineering flaw. I doubt their lifetime warranty on the telescopic mechanism" is of any use to anyone."

I love my transformer dining room table and coffee table!! It is stunning and the flexibility in length is perfect for my needs. It came very well packaged and in perfect condition. Shipping took longer than expected and the third party company shipping company was not very communicative. Would recommend also getting the coffee table to store the table’s leafs. If you are looking for a versatile and convertible table this one is wonderful!!

I bought my coffee table over a month ago and received it with a large crack in it. I've reached out multiple times to customer service and STILL have not heard from them even though the site says they'll get back to me 5-7 business days. I was so excited to use my new coffee table and have been extremely disappointed with the customer service. I've filled out the form on the website, called customer service, and wrote emails and I still haven't heard from them. 0/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

DO NOT BUY. For an expensive table set, they have awful customer service and apparently awful quality. I received my table a week late, and it was cracked right on the tabletop. Their response was to have me completely disassemble the table, mail the mechanism back to them, at which point they would then begin the process of shipping another table. Having to take apart a table, purchase a box to ship it back in, and then wait what I imagine to be another week or two for a new table to then be reassembled (all while not having a table to eat my dinners on), seems completely unacceptable for an issue that was their on fault to begin with. And to make matters worse, there is no customer service that you can speak to over the phone - they insist that it has to be via email with expected responses in 3-5 business days"

We've had our Transformer Table for about two months now and we're loving how versatile it is! The table has hosted meals, homework, and family games, sometimes all at the same time, and the coffee table for storage means we can quickly add or remove leaves to meet our needs, though the leaves can be hard to get out until you learn the trick. The bottle of stain came in handy when a dropped dish dented enough to show bare wood. The mark can't even be seen any longer, however the finish on the table is soft enough to show pencil marks. The hardware (latches and rails for the table) are very well made and always work smoothly.

Customer service from delivery to working with us on issues we are having with the whole set is below subpar. We get generic responses and absolutely no follow up on our actual issues we are trying to work through. Table is beautiful but we have several panels on the bench, coffee table and dining table that do not fit. And now the table and bench squeak. What a waste of money.

I absolutely loved the concept of this table.I bought the table, bench and side table about 1.5 years ago.The finish is terrible. It wears down in the spots where people use it.The locks on the underside of the table don’t work well and end up bowing my table if I try to lock all of them.The customer service has been non existent. I have emailed multiple times and tried calling multiple times. I even emailed and called when my table was still under a year old. So frustrated with how this expensive this table was, how awful it’s holding up and how terrible the customer service is. At this point I would not recommend this table at all.Buying a $3,000 table should last you more than 1 year. I could have bought an ikea table for $300 and it would still be holding up better than the Transformer Table.

Looks good, mechanism works well - the rest not so good. The wood itself is absolutely garbage, weak and brittle. Some parts arrived broken, by the time replacement arrived (after long wait having to file warranty claim even though it was broken when arrived, still in box) other parts broke. wood is soft, and scratches easily.Most broken parts were in the coffee table. dining table support leg broke a month later.For that price - very disappointed.
